Chapter 25 Summary- Relationship with Others (1)
Sul has an employment counseling appointment and leaves home. She meets her neighbor, who is extremely depressed. He complains to Sul about how he gave up everything for "his girlfriend" but how "she" only thinks about "herself" and gets angry. He tells Sul that he made a mistake to "her" months ago and apologized very much for it, but that "she"'s still angry at him for it. He complains that "his girlfriend" even used somebody else's credit card. He accidently bursts out something about "her" school (most likely that the "girlfriend" used the school's money, but he stops talking before details are revealed). He realizes his mistake and asks Sul not to tell anyone about this. Sul says that she has nobody to tell it to, and promises to keep it a secret. She leaves and slightly sympathizes with her neighbor.

Sul goes to her employment counseling appointment. The counselor tells Sul that she has good grades, but that she has not done any clubs or training. Her TOEIC score is over the graduation requirement, but not enough, as some people get perfects on their tests. The counselor asks if she can speak in English, and tells her that English conversations are a necessary for major companies. She continues her lecture, and Sul is overwhelmed. She tells Sul that her certifications in computerized accounting and distribument managing are uselss. She asks Sul what is it that Sul really wants to do after school, but Sul seems lost on the subject of her future.

Sul meets up with Bo Ra. Bo Ra talks about her counseling appointment (which also ended up a failure). She tells Sul about her plans to open up a clothing store after graduation with the help of her dad. Bo Ra suggests Sul to take up tutoring classes in English conversations, and leaves for a meeting with her dad (apparently Bo Ra's a big daddy's girl).

After Bo Ra leaves, Sul thinks about how much it'll cost to take tutoring classes. She remembers her mom talking on the phone with her dad about the little income they have. She becomes depressed after thinking about her dad, who is proud of her good grades in school, her younger brother, who is studying overseas, and Bo Ra, who has a future somewhat planned out with the financial support of her father. She also remembers that her father did not like how she was going to college by paying expensive tutition.

Sul is almost crying when she meets Yoo Jung. Yoo Jung realizes that she is crying and demands that she looks at him and tells him what happened. She refuses to tell, and Yoo Jung drags Sul to a cake shop and asks her to tell him what happened. Sul wanted to tell somebody about her feelings and ends up telling Jung that she needs to go to tutoring classes, but that she doesn't have enough money. She insists that it is herself that does not have the money, and not her family. He suggests that it might be a good idea to ask her parents, but she says that her father might not like it if she asks for money. She tries to take back what she says, when Jung says that he knows somebody who owns a few English tutoring academies and that this person will offer lessons for a cheaper rate since she is Jung's friend. She is slightly confused at his offer, but ultimately takes his offer and sincerely thanks him. Jung tells Sul that she is the type of person to keep things bottled up inside, but that it is better to tell others about her problems, especially since she has nice friends around her. He tells her that they aren't living in this world alone and that it's okay to do such things.

As they walk down the street, Jung asks Sul to go to the movies with him during the weekends for a school assignment. She is flustered, but she agrees to do so. She thanks him one last time, and he tells her to smile. As Sul realizes that her problem is somewhat solved, and that good things have happened to her today, she runs down the street.

Chapter 26-Relationship With Others (2)
Summary

Sul is getting ready to go out for her meeting with Jung- she is concerned about her lack of clothes, but then reminds herself that this isn't a date. She, however, believes it would be polite to at least tidy up her hair. She thinks about Jung, and concludes that he seems like a good person, and that she was slightly idiotic for avoiding Jung before.

Flashback: Sul says that she was extremely stressed because of what happened with Young Gon. After school starts, she meets Jung and Sang Chul, and greets them very loud and confidently, so that Jung will not avoid her this time. Jung looks surprised at her confident greeting and she is slightly annoyed at his expression. She goes on to ask Jung about what Young Gon said about her liking Young Gon. Jung replies, 'What?', and she continues that Young Gon has bothered her and she suffered from it. He asks if something happened between the two of them, and she is slightly angered at his clueless response. She replies that something did happen and begins to demand an explanation. Sang Chul enters the conversation and tells Sul not to get angry.

He explains that Young Gon came up to them after school, and apologized to Jung again. Jung was now, slightly annoyed, and said it was fine, but Young Gon continued to demand from Jung that Jung forgives him officially (Nam Joo Yeon is annoyed at this comment). Jung finally says that he forgives Young Gon, and begins to leave, when Young Gon replies that if Jung was in his position, he would do the same, because nobody would want to live in depression because of one mistake, especially since nobody cares about him. Jung replies though, that he saw that Sul seemed to be worried about Young Gon. Young Gon seems happy at this comment and adds on that he even received snacks from her, and asks whether or not it seems like Sul likes him. Jung was about answer that Sul seems nice (or something along the lines of that), but he is cut off by Joo Yeon, who says that Sul seems to be interested in Young Gon. Young Gon is encouraged by this comment, and Joo Yeon encourages him even more. Sang Chul tells the two to stop fooling around. Jung sighs, and at Young Gon's question about him and Sul, Jung replies after a pause, that the two will go well together. Joo Yeon continues to encourage Young Gon, and Young Gon is very happy. She joins Jung and Sang Chul, and Sang Chul asks what she said to make him smile like that.

Sang Chul ends his story, and explains that nobody expected Young Gon to really bother Sul. He claims that Jung just went with the flow, and asks Sul to just look over it. He says that the most Young Gon would have done would be calling her alot. Jung, however, apologizes, saying that he did encourage Young Gon a bit. He says that he didn't mean it that way. He claims that he was tired and wasn't interested in the topic, so he ended up saying such things. He offers to pay her back for anything that might have happened, but Sul refuses. She replies that everybody was just joking, but Young Gon was the strange one and acted in such a way. She leaves, and Jung apoligizes again, saying that he'll make Joo Yeon apologize as well, but Sul says it's fine. Sul hears Sang Chul say something about Sul being touchy.

She decides that she is a mere young college student, and because of all the problems before, she cannot look over this problem so smoothly. She says that it would feel bad to just look over this incident. At class, Bo Ra is furious about what Young Gon did to Sul, and Eun Taek tries to quiet her down. Sul is thinking about what happened, and she was not at the moment Sang Chul was talking about, and finds that it is ridiculous that Jung or Nam Joo Yeon could not even 1% perdict that Young Gon would bother her. She concludes that the most she can do is get angry at Nam Joo Yeon, but thinks that she'll just avoid the blame and claim she didn't do it. Sul looks at Jung and thinks that he is a creepy person. She doesn't feel too good about him, and then, he looks back at her. She awkwardly reacts, and Jung nods and smiles. Sul panics and decides to just not get involved with Jung. She then realizes that Joo Yeon was looking at them both.

Present day,Sul realizes she needs to leave.

She concludes that she expereinces all sorts of things last year, 2nd semester, but feels that this is year is okay. She cannot conclude whether she misjudged Jung, or if Jung changed.

A few female students are admiring In Ho, and says something about him being a handsome begger. He gets angry, but they offer him sushi. He eats the sushi and they ask him questions. He replies that he is looking for a job. They get all excited. He asks them if they are from B High school, and they reply that they are. He asks about a teacher he used to know, and claims that he used to go to the school. They don't believe him. They leave, and In Ho thinks about his high school years.

A boy comes up to In Ho and says that In Ho's family is poor. He asks In Ho if he truly thought that they would let him off the hook continuously. He claims that In Ho is nothing without Yoo Jung. In Ho grabs Yoo Jung and asks if he "did it." Yoo Jung replies. "No. It's not me. It's you who did it."
In Ho concludes that expensive food is nice.

Chapter 27 - Relationship with Others (3)
Summary

Sul is in a crammed up elevator. She complains about the number of people and says that this is why she hates coming out on weekends. Somebody accidently hits her just at that moment.
Sul arrives just on time at noon, and decides to call Yoo Jung. She calls him, and meets him. She goes up to him and askes him if she's late, but her replies that she's not, and that he came early to reserve the tickets. He notices that something is different about Sul's hair, and Sul tries to explain, but he comments that it looks "fluffier than usual" and asks her if she redo her perm. Sul is depressed, and thinks about the time she wasted trying to fix her hair, but Jung comments that he personally thinks her hair is cute and suits her well. She blushes, and is flustered. She tries to pay him back for the ticket he paid, but he refuses to receive payment for it, and tells Sul that it's fine since he's the upperclassman (sunbae) showing his underclassman (hoobae) a movie. Sul replies that instead of tickets, she'll buy the popcorn. She pulls out a coupon from her bag and tells Jung that it's a 10% discount coupon, plus extra caremel syrup. Jung looks extremely confused and Sul is somewhat disappointed at his reaction. He later realizes that she is holding up a "coupon", and tells her that he was confused at first, because he didn't understand what it was at first (most likely because he is not used to using "coupons"). Sul is at first shocked at the fact that he did not understand what a coupon was.

Jung is extremely out of it, but he offers Sul to go to a cafe, since there is still some time before the movie. Sul refuses, since she thinks there's not enough time and it would end up as a waste. Instead, they go to an arcade game that Sul says she plays whenever she occasionally comes for movies. She says the game is difficult, and the most she and Bo Ra can get up to is the second level.
(there's a small flashback panel of Bo Ra and Sul playing the game with Eun Taek watching. Sul and Bo Ra are shooting madly, while Sul says "Kill them, kill" and Bo Ra says "kill even the hostages". Eun Taek is watching and calling them "barbarians")
Jung asks how to play, and Sul explains the mechanics of the game.
Jung is extremely skilled at the game, and Sul is merely watching him play, as she has been KOed a while ago. She thinks to herself that he is very serious about the game, and that he looks a bit cool. Jung sets a new record, and Sul is suprised and asks if this really is his first time playing. Sul tells Jung that he is "Dae Bak" (amazing, jackpot, epic, etc), and offers a high five, but Jung doesn't know what she's doing and thinks she is asking for his toy gun. He asks if she wants to play now, but she tells him that she's offering a high five. He does a very weak, childish high five, and Sul laughs awkwardly. Jung asks if she's going to play more, since there is some money left, but she says they have to leave since it's almost time for the movie. Sul realizes that they have to buy popcorn and buys the food while Jung waits.

Sul is in line, thinking about what to buy, when she realizes that people are looking at Jung. A girl is looking at Jung, and her boyfriend is angry, and asks her what she keeps on looking at, when he looks at Jung too and they both end up staring at him, blushing at the same time. Sul asks herself if this is Jung's everyday life, and comments that it's so unrealistic. She thinks that the fact that she's come to watch a movie with such a sunbae is quite unusual. Jung smiles at Sul and Sul smiles back.

When Sul comes back with the food, Jung offers to hold the beverages. Sul tells Jung that he seems a bit out of it today. He wonders if it's because he concentrated too much on the game, but she tells him that he's been like this from the beginning. He confesses that even though he wasn't feeling well, he went out to drink alcohol yesterday, and that he still doesn't feel too good. He says that he wasn't trying to get caught, and that it's a bit embarassing now that he did. She comments that she could tell from his strange actions. He says, "Of course, you're fast at noticing stuff" and continues to say that compared to Sul, he seems to be slow at noticing stuff. He apologizes for his late reactions before, and Sul says that it doesn't matter, because it might just because they've had different expereinces. She contiues to say that people should take a while to know each other, and that it is impossible for people to have perfect cooperation just on their first meeting. Jung asks "Is that so?" and she replies that it is, and continues to go on and explain about Bo Ra and her first meeting, but stops when she realizes that Bo Ra and her have been good friends ever since their first meeting. She is flustered and continues her talk on the many people on the Earth, and how they can't all be the same, but realizes that she digressing very much on the conversation. Jung laughs and comments that she is a very funny person. As the chapter ends, Sul tells Jung to stop laughing and he apologizes and says that he's all awake now because of her talk.

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 28 - Relationship With Others (4)
Summary

Jung and Sul walk into the theater to watch the movie. While they go in, Jung tells Sul to wake him up if he falls asleep since they are watching the movie for an assignment. Sul assures him that she will do so.

The movie is a historical story about a revolution. Sul thinks to herself that the movie is boring, and begins to fall asleep. Jung, however, is watching very seriously. Sul begins to fall asleep and watches her doze with a smile. When she tilts over accidently, he catches her from falling. He calls her name and tells her that she can't fall asleep since this is an assignment. She wakes up and is extremely surprised. Jung says she must have been surprised because he talked to her so suddenly, but she says that it's fine. She repeatly thinks to herself 'F..Face...The face....'. Jung grins and they go back to the movie. Sul looks at Jung and wonders about his extreme concentration, and wonders if he's so focused because it is an assignment. She looks away and then reminds herself to focus on the movie.

A woman is in her apartment room, singing a song about breakup. She starts coughing and then the her doorbell rings. She at first is lazy and doesn't open the door, but then realizes that it might be a certain 'somebody', and runs to clean up her house and herself then open the door. She opens the door, saying, 'What is it for you to come without calling me-??' in a cute tone, but then realizes that it is Baek In Ho outside her door. In Ho comments that she's crazy, and that her strange voice makes him throw up. She frowns and asks him if he's Baek In Ho, and he replies that she hasn't changed at all. He tells her to at least act as if she's happy to meet him, calls her his 'noona' (a male way of addressing an older woman or older sister), and says that it has been while since they have seen each other.

Jung and Sul are at a cafe, and nervously orders milk tea as she realizes how expensive the drinks are at the shop (she claims that they cost as much as the movie ticket). Sul attempts to tell Jung that she doesn't have enough cash on her, when Jung orders two drinks before she can finish. He tells her that he'll pay with his card. The two start a conversation, and Sul claims that she watched the movie properly after what happened, but claims that she isn't good with historical movies. Jung says that the movie didn't exactly have the most entertaining plot. But he says that coming out to watch a movie itself was a fun experience. Sul begins to reply that it has been a while since she watched a movie and that it was a fun time for her as well, but she fades away and asks Jung if his girlfriend is okay about him watching a movie with a hoobae. Jung looks confused and says that he does not have a girlfriend and asks who told her that. She looks confused as well, but replies to Jung that everybody was saying that, so she thought that way as well. She continues that everybody probably thought so because Jung looked like the type to obviously have a girlfriend. He replies that it's up to the person whatever they think, and asks Sul if she has a boyfriend. Sul depressingly replies that it's obvious that she doesn't, even with one glance, and continues to say that she is the 'school ghost', going back and forth from home to school. Jung tries to cheer her up saying that he was like that as well after he returned to school and says that studying is important around this time of life. He tells her that it's good to have integrity, and she replies that Jung is the same as well- Jung tells Sul that's why the two of them are the department's top two students, and she replies not to talk about that because she's about to cry (she's joking, she's not really crying)- the two laugh. Sul suggests that they start their assignment, and Jung makes a joke about 'doing the assignment with intergrity', and Sul laughs.

As they do their assignment, Sul notices a man with a hat, and she is reminded of the man she saw last time with the hat (we know he's In Ho, but she doesn't know his name at the moment). She tells Jung that she saw a man with a hat that was not in the department claimed to be Jung's friend. Jung is surprised and wonders how his friends know Sul, and asks Sul what he said his name was. Sul replies that she doesn't know what his name is, but describes the man has rough-mouthed, tall, and slightly like a foreigner. Jung is quiet, and Sul is surprised at the fact that Jung seems to know the person, she wonders how Jung knows such a brute. Jung replies that her description matches somebody he knows, but explains that he didn't hear news about him around the area. Just then a call comes- Jung picks up and a woman screams Jung's name. Jung asks the woman to speak clearly, and from the phone dialogue between two people can be heard (they are talking about a dirty room). The woman says to Jung that 'the person' is here. Sul is surprised at the female voice from the phone. The woman on the phone says that In Ho has come. Sul wonders who this In Ho person is. Jung tells the woman that he will call later, and frowns. Sul is surprised at Jung's blant frown.

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 29 - Relationship of Others (5)
Sul is in Jung's car. She's sleepy and tired, but she notices that Jung looks more tired than before, especially after the phone call. After he received the phone call, Jung told Sul that it was an older sister (noona) he knew and she acts this way at times. He begins to talk about the person Sul was talking about, and when she asks him if it was his friend, he replies that he's not a friend. Jung says it's a bit bothersome to explain it, but if by any chance she meets this person again, he tells her to ignore the person. He says it'll be tiresome if she gets involved with the person, then offers to drive her home.

In Jung's car again, Sul thinks Jung might have a situation he can't explain, but understands what he said a bit. She agrees that the stranger did not seem like Jung's friend and it seemed as if she should not get involved. She has a lot of questions she wants to ask, but thinks it wouldn't be polite to be nosey. She realizes that she's near her destination and tells Jung that she'll leave here. He tells her to go home and get some rest, and apologizes for not buying her dinner as well. Sul says that it's fine, and tells Jung to be careful when driving, since he seems tired as well. He smiled and replies that he will. As he leaves, Sul thinks that it's over the top how he bought her the movie tickets and drove her home. She thinks she should as least pay him back the money for the tea he bought.

In Ho's sister sends a cute text message saying: "But it's been a while since everybody's met, so why don't you come over? Come on over~~ ^0^/". In Ho complains about how she has not even given him anything to eat or drink. She tells him to go drink the faucet water. In Ho gives up on persuading her. He gets mad when he mentions that she's been ignoring all his calls despite the fact that her phone is working fine. She replies that she doesn't pick up if it's an unknown number, and he retorts back that it's because he's calling from a public telephone. She says that as long they know each other is alive, it's fine, and asks what more he needs? She then asks In Ho (in a very threatening way) if he's here to mooch off her, and he angrily replies not to worry since he only came to check if she's dead or alive. She replies "Then it's fine." And In Ho replies that he wouldn't live in such a dirty house anyways, and screams about how this could be a girl's house. He tend questions about all the deliver boxes and asks what else she bought. She replies to just drop the issue, but he asks if she has a job- to which she replies that she will get one. In Ho laughs and replies "I knew you'd be like this.". He continues, "You need to think about your situation right now. It's not the time for you to be shopping like this, hm?" In Ho's sister gets angry and replies "Then what about you!" She points out that his cellphone is the latest model and asks who he ripped off money from this time. In Ho gets angry and replies that she was the one who ripped off all his money. He says that for men, they need at least a cool phone and car to go around town, and his sister that for women, they need at least nice shoes. Just then, a reply from Jung comes and it says: "Why would I go there. You two hang out by yourselves. I'm tired." The sister is disappointed and In Ho gets angry. He asks his sister if she continuously contacts Jung like this. She replies that it's her business, and In Ho asks why would she do such a thing if Jung's obviously not interested in her. She gets angry, and replies that she knows, and that she's not a high schooler anymore. She replies that she's doing this because she can rip some stuff of from Jung and it's better to get on his good side. She says In Ho has been getting on her bad side, and tells him that he isn't in the situation to lecture her, since he has no money or talent. She says how nice it would have been if Jung was her younger brother, and says that it'd be nice if she could marry him. In Ho replies that she couldn't marry him even if she born into a rich family. She kicks him out of her house.

At school, Han Byul is telling her sunbaes (most likely a sunbae, since Han Byul is using formal language) about the incident when Yoo Jung was comforting the crying Sul. She says that it Sul "happened" to be crying at that place, and comments on how strange it is, when her sunbae asks "So what?" The sunbae tells her that it is a bit strange, but says that Yoo Jung must have comforted Sul because she was crying, and asks what's the problem with that, especially when they've become friends after taking the same class together. Han Byul tries to explain when her sunbaes say that they've already got boyfriends and it seems like Han Byul is insulting Sul, and jealous. They continue that Yoo Jung is like the school's celebrity, and asks if Han Byul truly expected to date him. The sunbaes say that even though Nam Joo Yeon was annoying, it was understandable in her situation, and they leave for class. Han Byul is frustrated how her plan ended. A male student (most likely Kyung Hwan) tells Sang Chul that there's premotion that "something" might happen to Yoo Jung. Sang Chul asks if Han Byul's talking about Yoo Jung and Sul, and Kyung Hwan replies that Sul's cute and good at studying. Then Sang Chul wonders about Ah Young (Kyung Hwan replies, "Who's Ah Young?"). The chapter ends with Sang Chul going: "It's not Ah Young...but Hong Sul?"

Cheese in the Trap
Chapter 30 - Emotions of Individual

Two of Sang Chul's friends are talking. One talks about a girl he met and how she "dumped" him (it's vague what exactly happened, but it seems like she refused his date proposal, or whatnot). He continues that she asked him about a good-looking, famous guy in his department, and tells his friend that he ran away after saying that he isn't friends with the "good-looking" guy. The man says that Yoo Jung's the "public enemy", but later adds on that he's joking. Sang Chul, however, butts in, saying that it's not a joke, and that Yoo Jung's a player. His friend asks Sang Chul what he's talking about. Sang Chul says that Sul had promised to introduce him to a nice friend of hers, but Yoo Jung somehow snatched her away in the middle. And then he adds that now, there are rumors about Yoo Jung and Sul going around. The friend says that it was merely because Jung supported Sul because she was crying, but Sang Chul says it's all an excuse. Sang Chul's friend says that Jung doesn't seem like the type to do that, and that there must be a misunderstanding, but Sang Chul claims that you cannot truly know what's inside a person. He says that Jung left Joo Yeon bother him last year because he must have liked it. He claim that seeing the number of people trying to get Jung' attention, he couldn't possibly refuse everybody, and says that Jung talks to girls often on the phone. Sang Chul's friends are somewhat persuaded by his words, and start to talk about Jung and how he flaunts his good looks and how he has a lot of money.
Just then, Kyung Hwan and Jung pass by. Kyung Hwan tells Jung that he knew this was going to happen, seeing Sang Chul's actions from before. He asks Jung if he had done anything bad to Sang Chul, since Sang Chul used to like Jung very much. Jung replies: "Well, it's hardly necessary to say that." (he actually uses a word that REALLY hard to translate, but this is the basic gist of what he says).

Bo Ra and Eun Taek arrive at Sul's place, saying "Well, it's hardly necessary to say that-" (in a very different, much happier tone). They say that on a classless day, the right thing to do is give a lesson to the stomach. Sul says that they didn't contact her beforehand, and her room is still messy. The two girls talk about their rooms, when Sul's neighbor comes out asking Sul if she's not planning to make so much noise with her friends. He starts to talk about taking legal action when he sees the meat in Eun Taek's plastic bag. He joins in with Sul's friends to eat the meat together (he seems to get real nicely along in a comical way with Bo Ra). Bo Ra asks the neighbor if she could smoke, and he demands that she gives him one too. Sul interrupts, telling Bo Ra not to smoke in her house. She tells Bo Ra that it smells bad and bad for the body, but Bo Ra cuddles up to Sul, saying that she's such a nagger, and that she loves Sul. Just then, a call comes from Sul's mother and Sul goes to talk with her mom.

Bo Ra sees Sul and remembers the time Sul asked Bo Ra to go shopping for her mom's birthday present together. Later that day, Bo Ra whined to Eun Taek about wanting to see her mom. Eun Taek tells her to just go meet her then, but Bo Ra slips out by accident that her parents are divorced and her mom moved out long ago. She panics and tells Eun Taek not to tell anybody about this. Bo Ra starts crying, saying that her mom should have least told them the reason why she left the family. Eun Taek tries to comfort her, reaching out to her, trying to say "Don't cry", but Bo Ra turns to the people on the neighboring table, asking and screaming if they've seen a person cry before.

Eun Taek notices Bo Ra looking at the direction Sul is talking with her mother, and he tries to cheer her up, when she begins to sing out of depression. She begins a random sing-a-long with the neighbor, and Eun Taek tries to stop her. He claims that Sul gets reported by her neighbors if she's too loud (apparently the neighbor who always reports is the mysterious neighbor eating food right now with them), and tells Bo Ra to talk to Sul about going to karaokee when she comes back. Bo Ra gets angry and grabs his face, claiming that he doesn't listen to what his noonas say. She says that she's going to examine his face carefully, and says "Hey? You fellow... You're good- looking, eh?" She falls down (most likely the aftermath of alcohol consumption), and Eun Taek blushes.

Cheese in the Trap
Chapter 31 - Hostility (1)
Summary

Sul and Eun Taek move Bo Ra to her place, and Sul is worried, and wonders if Bo Ra will be able to make it to school tomorrow on time. Bo Ra doesn't, and at school, Sul meets a few of her sunbaes (most likely, since Sul calls them 'unni'). They ask Sul if something happened to her, because they heard that Jung helped her while she was crying. Sul is surprised, and says that it wasn't anything big. Her sunbaes are still worried, and tell Sul to tell them, not only Jung, if she's having problems. Sul says that she was merely bumbed out after her employment counseling. They all say that they understand, saying stuff like about how scary the "skinny lady" is and how they almost fell into depression after their own employment counselings. The sunbaes say that they thought there was "something" between Sul and Jung, saying that they expected a scandal or something. Sul asks them where they heard that, and the sunbaes point to Han Byul, just passing by. As Sul watches Han Byul act hostile towards her, she thinks to herself that she at times wonder what the problem is when she sees people that act hostile to her.

-Flashback
As a main example of such 'hostile people', she picks Nam Joo Yeon. Nam Joo Yeon is arguing with a homeless man on the streets when Sul passes by (it's implied that the man asked for money, and Nam Joo Yeon said something rude). She says rude comments like "Please stay away from this area- the school's going to look bad." Sul is quite dumbfounded, and she wonders if Joo Yeon is just fearless, or has a whole different way of thinking. Sul was about to passby without caring, when she sees the man reaching for something in his pocket. Sul grabs Joo Yeon, and runs off, while the homeless man shouts at them, waving an empty glass bottle.

As Sul stops to see if he's still following, Joo Yeon gets angry, telling her to stop over-reacting. Sul says that she's not over-reacting, and that Joo Yeon might have really been in danger. Joo Yeon states that she was "totally winning with talking skills." Sul is shocked, and asks Joo Yeon if she's an idiot, and tells her to get some common sense into her. Joo Yeon asks Sul why she's involving herself into Joo Yeon's business, and asks Sul "Do you feel a bit nicer after causing all that commotion?" She continues that "Since a failure in society bothered me, it's obvious that I'll crush him. How can I stand loosing to such people? I think that's more idiotic, you know? Yeah, people like you. If you have something to say, say it, like last time. Don't let it pass with a fake smile. It's really pathetic of you, you know that?" Sul is extremely angry. She can't believe that she's hearing such insults when she has helped Joo Yeon- not just any insult, insults that aren't totally wrong, and thus, hurt. She claims that she had much to say, such as the basic question of what Joo Yeon was planning to do if she got killed by a homeless, all because she was flaunting her ego. Sul thinks that insults and advice aren't too different, it all depends on how the receiver takes it in. Thus, everything that comes of Sul's mouth, will become her responsibility. Sul sighs, and thinks that Joo Yeon isn't worth talking to and stressing out about. Joo Yeon walks away, saying, "You don't have anything to say? I knew it, you're a really creepy person."

As Sul walks by, she wonders why she must fight childishly like this, and wonders if she would really feel relieved if she really blurted out everything she felt, like Nam Joo Yeon does. Just then, Yoo Jung walks by. Sul wonders if she should greet him first, but decides to act confident and polite, since he's still a sunbae. Yoo Jung, however, walks by withou saying anything. Sul realizes that while Yoo Jung was extremely considerate to her when Sang Chul was around, now that it's only the two of them, he's back to how he usually was. Sul thinks to herself that she doesn't get it anymore. Either Jung's a mad person, or just really hates her. She wonders if she really did do something to be hated so much, while Bo Ra goes to the restroom. As Sul lifts her head up to drink her beverage, a collegue comes up to her. She tells Sul not to take it the wrong way, but that she saw Nam Joo Yeon put something strange in Sul's drink. Just in case, the collegue switched Joo Yeon's cup with Sul's. Sul is quite agitated, and the collegue says that Joo Yeon's a sneaky person, but she's not sure, it might have been that Joo Yeon merely touched the cup. She leaves after telling Sul not to tell anybody what she said. Joo Yeon is seen holding a box, and then runs out of the classroom. According Bo Ra (who has come back from the restroom) it seems like Joo Yeon is experiencing diarrhea, especially by the way she's clutching to her stomach while running. Sul laughs, and searches for Joo Yeon, wanting to tease Joo Yeon horribly. But then, she realizes that her collegue asked Sul not to tell anybody about what she said. Sul walks back, angry and frustrated. Then, she sees Jung talking to somebody on the bench, saying: "If the guard sees it, something bad will happen. So please get up."

Chapter 32 - Hostility (2)
Summary

Continuing from the end of chapter 31, Sul sees Yoo Jung telling a lady to get up.
The lady mumbles stuff about "university", "student", "studying", and some more stuff that is not clearly stated. Jung pulls out some money from his wallet and tells the lady to go buy a meal or something with it. The lady immediately takes the money and begins to walk away while mumbling something. At that moment, Jung's friends come and ask if Jung was giving money to the homeless lady. He replies that he was, in case a security guard saw the person. The students begin to talk about how there have been a lot of homeless people around the school, and are ruining the school's reputation. It seems as if they are all coming to the school due to construction work at the subway station, and they seem to be stealing things such as toilet paper or water from the school. The girls begin to talk about a homeless trying to touch her leg, and her friend reacts by saying, "Gross, totally hate it!" Jung's friend says that if Jung gives them money, they'll continue to come, and says that it's a waste giving money to people who don't work, adding on that they could drink more with that money. Jung's friends agree, but Jung merely laughs.

After seeing this scene, Sul thinks that Jung has a good side to him, seeing that he's taking care of a homeless when nobody's looking. But then she stops and reorganizes her thoughts. She thinks that she shouldn't let go of her problems all because of that one scene.

(I'm going to translate Sul's whole thought bubble for this scene, it'll be more accurate than me summarizing it)

[Is Yoo Jung merely a kind person...
To be honest, with that incident with the files, and the incident with Oh Young Gon, there are still a lot of things that are bothering me.

(flashback to scenes where Yoo Jung is saying 'be careful', Oh Young Gon saying that even 'Yoo Jung sunbae knows' and Yoo Jung saying that he 'didn't mean it' that way)

I was angry back then, so it slipped my mind, but when you think about this consecutively, it's a bit strange. But I've already been apologized from him...

For sure.

He said 'Was there something between you two?' and asked as if he knew nothing about it.
But then, 'if there was any damage done to you, can you tell me? I'll compensate for it if I can'. If it was an incident, you knew nothing about, would you apologize so easily and talk about compensation like that? It's as if he went 'I don't know what happened, but let's say that it's my fault' and tried to cover it up poorly.

Sang Chul sunbae likes Yoo Jung, so of course he'll say something that'll benefit Yoo Jung. And it's not like I was at that place at that moment, listening to the conversation? Plus, according to Sang Chul sunbae, Nam Joo Yeon was encouraging Young Gon. But then Young Gon very naturally said 'Yoo Jung sunbae told me that'.

No matter how much he praises Yoo Jung, can he say such things by jumping over facts and interpreting by himself? Plus, they could have talked where Sang Chul sunbae wasn't looking.

...If I want to solve this question, I'm going to have to face Young Gon....But he's on on a break.
I thought he took a break because it was embarrassing to see me. But he was the type of kid that went to school fine after being embarrassed like that at the basketball game. But leaving school just because he was hit by Eun Taek once... Well, there could have been problems with the army,

But he left so suddenly without a word.]

Sul thinks that she needs to stop thinking about such bad things, and concludes that her main problem isn't Yoo Jung, but Nam Joo Yeon. Sul waits for Joo Yeon in the hallway, and when she passes by, Sul calls out for Nam Joo Yeon. Sul asks if Nam Joo Yeon feels better, and tells her that the beverage must have passed its expiration date. Nam Joo Yeon is shocked that Sul knows, but refrains herself from saying anything about the medications she put in Sul's drink. Sul asks if Joo Yeon has anything to say, and when Joo Yeon doesn't reply, Sul confronts Joo Yeon, saying that if it's going to affect her school life and grades, then she can't stand for that now. Sul pulls out her cellphone and brings out all the fake messages Joo Yeon had sent to her. Sul says that she has saved each and every one of them, and says that "five times" are too often to merely be mistakes, adding on that she has all the wrong printouts Joo Yeon has given her. Joo Yeon asks what she'll do with them, and Sul says that she'll show them all to Yoo Jung. Joo Yeon asks Sul if she's threatening her, and asks if she truly thinks Jung's going to believe her. Sul says that they'll find out when she shows them, and adds on the issue about Joo Yeon putting in medications into her drink. Joo Yeon says she's vicious, saying that it's even scarier that Sul would switch drinks. Sul asks if Joo Yeon admits to putting medications in her drink, and Joo Yeon confesses that she has, including all the printouts and messages. Sul demands that Joo Yeon apologizes and swears that this will never happen again, but Joo Yeon refuses, asking Sul who she thinks Jung is going to believe. Sul is suddenly shocked and tells Joo Yeon to stop, and behind Joo Yeon is Jung's friend, Kyung Hwan. Kyung Hwan says that they're extremely scary, and comments on how girls use chemical medications for fights. Joo Yeon tries to tell him that it's a misunderstanding, but Kyung Hwan calls out for Yoo Jung, who is right next to him, saying that the girls are fighting because of him. Yoo Jung says that he heard sounds of people fighting, so he came to stop it. He says that he hopes they figure it out nicely, and before leaving, tells the two that he'll act as if he hasn't heard anything. He sighs before leaving, making Joo Yeon extremely shocked. Joo Yeon is furious and claims that Sul did this on purpose, saying that Sul purposefully confronted Joo Yeon in this hallway, knowing that Jung would be here. Sul claims that she has no interest in Joo Yeon, but Joo Yeon ignores her comment, and says "You'll see, Hong Sul" before stomping off. Sul thinks to herself that while she got back on Joo Yeon, she doesn't feel happy at all, and in fact, she feels bothered.

Sul and Bo Ra talk about what room to go in order to finish their work, and Bo Ra suggests the file room. Joo Yeon's friend also suggests the file room, but Joo Yeon refuses, calling out for Yoo Jung. She pushes a girl following Yoo Jung while chasing him, and Jung does not give much attention to Joo Yeon, and rather cares more for the girl that was pushed by her.

Sul buys some stuff from the store, and Sul sees the homeless man from last time, looking for people who look similar to Joo Yeon. Sul is worried about the man remembering her, so she decides to go through the back way. As she walks by, she comments on how cold and dark it is, thinking that it's a bit scary alone. She tries to brush her fear away and says to herself that she needs to go back and write her report.

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 33 - Hostility (3)
Sumamary

Sul returns to the school and realizes how quiet it is late at night. She hands a drink to the security guard (who's dozing off) and he tells her not to stay too late. After she leaves, he goes back to sleep.

Sul begins to study while listening to music. She has purposefully sat in the corner to avoid people, but realizes that there aren't many people at school this late at night anyways. She thinks this is good, since she'll be able to concentrate. She notes about how this room suits her well. She decides to concentrate and write an amazing report, and thinks about how she did not receive much scholarship last semester, and how she needs to do really well this semester.

As she studies, time passes, and more people leave. The security guard is still dozing off. Sul stretches and looks at her cellphone clock. She needs to leave before the last bus. Just then, she hears a sound and turns around. She does not see anything, and wonders if she heard wrong. Just then, she hears a sound again, and see's the homeless lady from earlier. She is shocked, and asks how the lady got in here. Sul jumps at the sight of the lady's broken glass bottle. The lady does some hand motions (most likely trying to tell Sul to get over here), and Sul tries to run away. She hits the chair, and is temporarily distracted, but then gets her head straight, reminding herself to stay calm and get out of the room from the side. The lady pulls Sul's hair and asks Sul why she's ignoring her. Sul calls out, "Is anybody there-?!! Somebody please help!!!", while the lady mumbles something about how Sul can ignore an adult like this. As the lady mumbles about her past, Sul notices the glass bottle once again, and tries to talk with the lady, but the homeless lady swings her bottle, shocking Sul. The lady mumbles: "If an adult talks...Do you think going to a university is some kind of crest...Do you think you guys can ignore me like this...". As the lady talks, Sul is in panic because of the bottle. Then, Sul calms herself down, reminding herself that the opponent is an old lady. Sul grabs the lady's wrist, trying to tell the lady to put down the bottle first. Sul realizes that when it comes to strength, she wins, and tries to stop the lady, but accidently cuts herself. The lady drops her bottle and mumbles something about her "microphone". Sul pushes the lady and runs out of the room.

As she runs, she bumps into a different security guard. The security guard asks her what's wrong, and asks if she was the one who screamed. The security guard is shocked at the lady's appearance and says, "This crazy lady...!!! She crawled in all this way!!! Does she wanna see somebody lose their job?!!!" The security guard tells Sul to go call the security guard in charge of the back gates, and he comments on how that security guard is probably sleeping again. As he tries to stop the lady, Sul notices the giant cut on her hand. She's quite annoyed, especially by the fact that it's her right hand that got injured. As she tries to call the other security guard, her legs tremble and she almost falls.

The next day, Bo Ra notices the giant bandaid on her hand, and frantically asks Sul what happened. As Sul says "Ah, this. Last night..." then stops when she notices everybody looking at her. She lies that she got cut while opening a tuna can. Bo Ra tells her that she should have been more careful. A colleague tells her that tuna can cuts could be potentially dangerous, and asks her if she got it stitched. She replies that she hasn't. Sul tells Bo Ra that it isn't serious, and it's only because of the bandaid that it looks serious. Bo Ra tells her that's a relief, and continues that she was worried because she heard that a homeless lady trespassed at the school late last night. Sul lies that she went home early last night, and Bo Ra says that’s a great relief, and that everybody's talking about the incident. There are crazy rumors about one girl getting hit and losing her consciousness. The colleagues talk about scary rumors about the girl tripping as she climbed the stairs, the lady taking the girl to the backside mountains, etc. Sul realizes that what the security guard told her was right (flashback to last night - The security guard tells her that he's been working at other schools, and from his experience, it'll be better if Sul keeps quiet about incidents like this, especially since she's a girl).

As Sul picks a drink from the vending machine, she realizes that it was right to follow the advice, but decides that she'll tell only Bo Ra later. As she tries to pick up her drink, the wound on her hand hurts more than expected. Jung picks the drink up for her and puts it in her pocket. She awkwardly thanks him. He asks what happened to her hand. Sul hesitates whether or not to tell the truth. She looks around to check if anybody's around, and when she's about to explain, Jung asks if something happened yesterday. Sul looks surprised and asks, "Yester...day?" Jung replies that there are rumors about last night's incident at the library, and he was wondering if Sul stayed at the school until late at night. Sul replies that she merely cut herself by mistake while opening a tuna can.

He grins and repeats the word "Mistake..." He says: "Hong Sul... Tripping and cutting yourself... You should live paying more attention to yourself." She gives a confused response and he continues: "No, I'm just telling you to be careful. If you get hurt, it'd be your loss. But anyways, if it wasn't because of what happened yesterday.... That's a relief. I was worried, so I asked. Take good care of your wound."

Sul is dumbfounded, and asks herself if that is a "worried" face- she thinks he looks happy. She then hears sounds of something rustling, and turns around to see Joo Yeon. Joo Yeon runs away after seeing Sul. Sul is confused and asks herself what is going on between the two. The chapter ends with her going "Huuh?"

Chapter 34 - Condition for Affection
Summary

As the A.P. walks down the hall, he sees a poster for a club for "minorities" (most likely people with non-heterosexual interests). The A.P. laughs, claiming that it's not like society's view on them is going to change with this. He still, however, puts the phone number in his cell. But he gives up, saying that it's not like he'll be doing anything even with the number.

(flashback)

A man is crying on the bench. The A.P. calls to him, and the man looks up (it is revealed that the man is Sul's sensitive test taker neighbor). The neighbor says "Honey" and whines about how he lost his card and car, and the A.P. tells the neighbor that he found a cheap place for the neighbor to stay near his school. The neighbor is shocked, and the A.P. comments on how it was originally for him to move in, but since the neighbor got kicked out because of him, he'll do this much. The A.P. says that he paid for the contract, but the monthly rent will need to be paid by the neighbor. The neighbor asks "But with what money did honey..." The A.P. tells him to stop complaining, and pay back after he gets a job.

The neighbor looks through his closet for a suit to wear at his job interview, and realizes that he left it at his old home. He wonders if he can borrow one from the dry cleaners. As the A.P. is at dinner with some students (the students comment about how angry he is), the A.P. thinks to himself about how he gave up his savings and his deposit to pay for the house. He doesn't know how he'll pay for a suit. He complains about how the companies choose people based on a suit, but then notices a coat on the floor. As he goes to pick it up, he realizes that it is Jung's. He comments on how Jung pretends to be normal while he wears such expensive branded clothes, and how sickening it is. He comments on how "his Joo Yong" used to wear such nice clothes as well. Jung's wallet falls out, and the A.P. is shocked at the number of credit cards in his wallet. He mindlessly comments on how nobody would notice if he took just one. The A.P. looks around, and then takes a credit card, reassuring himself that Jung would not notice, and that he'll put it back after he uses it once. When the A.P. returns with a suit, Joo Yong (aka Sul's creepy neighbor) is shocked. He asks where the A.P. got the money - and says that it's somewhat burdensome how the A.P. is buying him all this stuff. The A.P. gets angry and says that he shouldn't say it's "burdensome" when he bought all this stuff for him.

(end of flashback)

The A.P. comments that in the end, Joo Yong failed all his job interviews, and he got caught by Jung.

As Bo Ra asks Sul to go to lunch together, Ah Young comes. Sul leaves to eat lunch with Ah Young, and Bo Ra is slightly angry. She comments on how it feels like Sul is being taken away from her, and Eun Taek tells her that she's being childish. Bo Ra tells him that girls are like this, and that he's oblivious for somebody with 3 sisters. As Bo Ra talks about how "Taste follows, Looks follow" (check chapter 10 for details) is being endangered, she hears a conversation about "Nam Joo Yeon" being the prettiest in the business administration department. Bo Ra and Eun Taek secretly listen to the convo. The boys inside discuss about who's the best in the department, and they list a few girls. Bo Ra is mentioned, and they admit that she's pretty. Bo Ra snickers to Eun Taek and tells him that he should be honored for hanging out with her. Then, Hong Sul is mentioned. The boys say that Jung's been taking care of Sul these days, but Sul jumps around, saying that they aren't going out. They say that while she's pretty, she doesn't have the cute charm, and she studies too much. They claim that her type of personality is unpopular with the boys, and she's unfashionable, wearing clothing that looks like her dad's. Bo Ra explodes, and kicks them out of the room, defending Sul by saying stuff like "Do you guys know how undeserving you are of a girl like Hong!?" Eun Taek calms her down, and Bo Ra declares "A blind date it is!" Eun Taek asks her how she got to such an illogical conclusion, but Bo Ra claims that she'll make Sul go out with somebody so amazing that they'll never talk about Sul like that again. Eun Taek asks "What about Yoo Jung sunbae?" But Bo Ra claims that they can't wait when they don't know if the two actually have feelings for each other. She calls an oppa, and says that she has a super nice friend, and tells him to set her up with somebody amazing. Somebody that's good-looking, rich, polite, good at sports, and had lived in a foreign country. The oppa complains that there isn't such a person, but Bo Ra hangs up. Eun Taek asks her who's this "oppa?" (since she doesn't have an older brother). Bo Ra tells him that it's an oppa she met at a blind date, and when Eun Taek asks if they are going out, she claims that they aren't. He asks why she would meet men if she isn't going to go out with them. She says that it's so that they can be friends, just like Eun Taek and her. But she tells him that she can't really compare them to Eun Taek, and leaves.

Bo Ra sent a text to Sul about a blind date, and Sul is shocked. Ah Young is excited at the fact that Sul might be going on a blind date, claiming that this is the excitement of being in a "campus life". Sul tells Ah Young that it's awkward for her to do this with somebody she doesn't know, but Ah Young tells her to just act naturally. As Ah Young urges Sul to try, Sul thinks that Ah Young's too cute to refuse, and thinks about the times people misunderstood her and Jung's relationship. So, she decides to accept. Ah Young says it's so exciting, and she thinks that she made a good choice to come to this school. Sul is very happy at Ah Young's words, but Ah Young talks about how she met Yoo Jung a while ago. She says that he remembered her name, and that he even bought drinks for her and her friends. She says that her friends envied her. Sul is surprised that Ah Young is still interested in Jung, and Ah Young asks Sul if she can set her and Jung up together. She says that she thinks she can become better friends with Jung if they can get more chances to talk to each other. Sul wonders if this would be okay, and Ah Young says that if it's too much of a burden, Sul doesn't need to do so. Sul says that it's not like that, but more like she's shocked at the fact that Ah Young is asking such a bold favor. She tells Ah Young that she'll try, but she wonders if it's fine for her to do this. But she comments on how Jung seems like a good person lately, and guesses that the rest will be up to Ah Young. Ah Young asks if it's really okay, and asks Sul if she's close with Jung. Sul thinks about the times Jung and her had hung out together, and tells Ah Young that "Yep. It seems like we're a lot friendlier than we used to be."

A man is talking to his new employee that he needs to be especially polite to the customers. In Ho replies that he understands (but in a slightly casual manner). The boss tells In Ho to smile, in a polite way. In Ho (epic) fails. The boss decides to let it pass, because he's good looking, and tells In Ho to work starting tommorow. In Ho comments on how easy it is to get a job. But then he looks at the outfit, and says "What is this...."

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 35 - One Way Traffic (1)
Summary

In Ho sister laughs when In Ho tells her that he has to wear a bow tie. In Ho's very annoyed at her reaction. He tells her: "Ah, fine. Laugh all you want." She comments on the one time In Ho ran away because he hated bow ties. In Ho tells her that bow ties are cheesy and he doesn't get why men should have to wear them. In Ho's sister asks him where he's staying at the moment, and he answers that he's staying at a place where they provide housing for students. The sister complains about how the company CEO told her that he's making her in charge of accounting management, but it's difficult to get the certificate for computerized accounting. She says that she should be able to get the position without the certificate, especially to somebody who might be his future "daughter-in-law." In Ho is extremely annoyed, and says: "Hey, Baek In Ha. I told you to wake up from that dream." The sister ignores his advice and continues to complain about how she applied for a job as a fitting model, but they wouldn't accept her because of her age. She tells In Ho to take good care of his looks, since that's the only thing they have. After In Ho tells her that he already knows that, he hangs up. She get's annoyed and mutters: "Cocky idiot." and talks to herself about getting her nails done.

Sul is at school and awkwardly greets Jung. Jung is surprised and asks: "Sul, you! What's going on?" She tells him that she has somewhere to go to after school. Sul asks him if she looks awkward, but he says that it suits her well. She asks him if that's true, and he tells her that she's very pretty. He tells her that she should come to school in pretty clothes more often, but she says that she has nobody to show such clothes to. Jung doesn't reply. Sul ponders about how the "timing" would fit today, and asks Jung if he has time today. She asks him if he wants to eat something after class (she also notes to herself about how Jung's attitude is strange). He asks: "Today?" Sul attempts to take her words back, but Jung says that they should eat together, and that it's the first time Sul's asking him first. Sul laughs awkwardly and asks; "Is, is that so...?" She thinks to herself how if this is how she should do it, then it'll probably be fine....

As Sul looks around, Jung tells her that she needs to buy the ticket for food. She tells him that she already has one. And at that moment, they meet Ah Young. Ah Young is surprised and tells Sul that she's "really pretty." Sul awkwardly laughs and then asks Jung if Ah Young can join them. Ah Young greets Jung and thanks him for the drink he bought last time. Sul comments about how nice and natural everything seems. As Jung sits down, Sul runs to the other side of the table. Sul tells Ah Young that something's on the chair next to her, and that Ah Young should sit on the other side. Ah Young sits next to Jung. Sul smiles and begins to eat.

Ah Young asks Jung if he's busy, since he is a senior. He says that it's normal, and that finals are coming up soon. She comments on how this university's very different from an art school. Just then, Jung says: "Ah, Sul - You know that movie we watched a while ago-" Ah Young asks: "Movie?" and she asks if he watched a movie, and Jung replies that he went to watch a movie with Sul by themselves. Sul butts in immediately saying that it was for a school assignment. Ah Young says that it must have been interesting. Sul says that they watched the movie, and went back home after talking about the assignment. Sul then asks Jung how many times he's seen Ah Young until now. He doesn't remember the exact number. She asks Jung if he can remember well, because she's pretty. Jung says that she is, and comments on how popular Ah Young must be. Sul and Ah Young are both happy with this response. Sul then goes on to blab about how popular Ah Young was and how Ah Young's such a nice girl that boys would follow her around. She tells Jung that it'll be difficult to find a person like Ah Young, and comments on how nice it is to see Jung and Ah Young together. An awkward silence falls on the trio, and Sul thinks to herself about how stupid she was. Jung replies: "Uh...Thanks. It's a compliment, right?" Ah Young tries to change the topic by talking about a professor in her department. Sul thinks to herself about how she's a failure as an older sister. Sul then notices the clock, and says that she needs to leave for something. She leaves, but then comes back and pays Jung back for the tea he bought her before. Jung says that it's fine, and that Sul doesn't need to pay him back. But Sul replies: "No- You've done a lot for me, and it's a bit strange for me to just receive things from you when you're my sunbae and I'm your hoobae." And as she leaves, she thinks about how Ah Young will at least have a conversation with him, since she has good social skills. She comments on how she's unskilled when it comes to these sorts of things, and accidently trips on the way.

After Sul leaves, Ah Young asks Jung: "Isn't unni pretty today?!" Jung says that she is, and asks if it's a special day for Sul. Ah Young replies: "Ah, you didn't know? Unni's having a blind date today! Bo Ra unni said that she's bringing a super cool person! I couldn't sleep, because I was more excited than her, you see? Seeing unni like this today, it seems like it's going to go super well! Right?" Jung just replies: "What? Blind date?"

At the store, an employee is telling the owner that the "new" employee has had his third complaint from the customer today. The owner says that he expected this, but says that it might not all be a loss. A customer complains to In Ho about how carelessly he's putting down a cup. In Ho replies that he's sorry, and that he's still learning. He says that: "I will work harder, thinking for the customer." The customer replies that he should work harder, and that she'll come every day to check. The owner and the other employee says that he's a "player." Just then, Sul enters the store, and In Ho notices her. The employee asks if she's okay with a smoking area, and she replies that she's not good with smoke. In Ho points at her and says: "Now, who is this-?"

Chapter 36 - One Way Traffic (2)
Summary

Bo Ra is telling Sul to tidy up her hair a bit, and wear something frilly rather than jeans. Sul says that she has stuff like that her mother bought her before. Bo Ra asks Sul if it's okay between her and Yoo Jung even if she goes on a blind date. Sul gets angry and says "Really, I'm telling you that we're not like that-??!" Sul complains to Bo Ra that it's pressuring how people are hooking her up with Yoo Jung. Bo Ra shows Sul the picture of her blind date partner, and Sul says that he looks okay. Bo Ra tells Sul that she owes her one if it goes well- and says that the person's a "deadly handsome man!!"

Sul is stunned by her blind date partner. He introduces himself, and his name is "Ahn Chi Myung" (and ironically 'Chi Myung' means 'Deadly'). He says that Sul should call him "Chi Myung", or if she wants, "oppa". He claims that his nickname is "Deadly handsome man". Sul responds, "I...Is that so..." As Sul casually converses with her blind date, she notes how he somehow looks different from the picture she was given, yet he's not that different. He comments that Sul is prettier than how she looked in the picture, and asks if her outfit is a "bellflower fairy concept". She thinks he's teasing him. He comments on her school, and how it's a nice school, while Sul asks him about his stay overseas. He says that overseas study is the basic norm these days, and asks Sul if she's been overseas- which Sul responds that she hasn't. He laughs saying that it's not a bad thing to be a bit late. He notes her somewhat bland skin tone, and offers to go tanning with her one day. Sul's not so eager with his offer, and he continues to talk about himself. He asks if she's been golfing, played squash, or scuba dived before. Sul replies that she hasn't to all of his questions. Things get a bit awkward between them, but then he asks if she's played piano. She replied that she did when she was little, and he talks about Chopin (a piano composer), while Sul replies that she's only played up until "Czerny" (very basic piano). In Ho creeps up and says "Ah, really- I can't listen to this anymore!"

The blind date asks if she's been to other countries, but Sul replies that she's only been to Jeju Islands (a southern Korean island- it's a very beautiful island, but it's considered to be a very basic domestic trip). The blind date asks, "So what did you do while living all this time? You've lived a very boring life." Sul is annoyed, and comments that she's holding her anger in because of Bo Ra, but she complains, "...Do you think I've been living a boring life all this time because I've wanted to!?" Sul then asks him if he likes cooking. The blind date is interested, and asks what she's good at. Sul says that she likes noodles, and learned a little because her mother owned a restaurant before. He comments on a pasta shop he likes, but Sul replies that her mom owned a Janchi Guksu shop (Korean noodles that are traditionally eaten on special days, such as marriages). He replies, "Aren't those the stuff the old neighborhood geezers eat?" She is serious and stands up, while In Ho laughs, saying that "even middle schoolers play around better than this! I've watched a nice scene because of you // Customer!" Sul is surprised, and In Ho replies "And you were screaming about not going out with Yoo Jung.... but in the end, you're meeting this sort of guy- Is that it?! I thought you were a kid with something different... This is a total disappointment, you know?" The blind date is furious and begins to get into a fight with In Ho. The blind date hits In Ho on the shoulder. In Ho grabs onto the blind date's hand, and asks "Why, customer, why are you hitting my shoulder-" As the blind date tries to take back his hand, In Ho grabs on tighter so he can't pull his hand out. The blind date is furious, and yells "This idiot who's working as a mere waiter! Let go! You beggar-like bastard!" In Ho is enraged by the blind date's comment and asks, "Beggar-?" As In Ho approaches, the blind date punches him as reflex. The shop begins to have people scream and talk. As In Ho turns around, the blind date hits him again. Sul sees In Ho bite the inside of his mouth, so it bleeds. In Ho falls down on the floor, yelling around "I'm gonna die, Aigooo!!!" The blind date asks "What are you?!" and In Ho spits out some blood. He begins to panic even more about his bleeding and how he feels sick. Sul is shocked and thinks to herself about how In Ho definitely seemed to have bit himself. As the blind date tries to push In Ho, In Ho pins the blind date to the table, saying that "Customer, this is a legitimate self-defense. I'm trying to protect myself." As the blind date is let go, the shop begins to murmur around, and in humiliation, the blind date unleashes his anger on Sul. Accusing her and yelling, "Now that I look at it, you were a skank with a totally dirty past with boys! Who's that bastard? You're previous boyfriend? From what I heard, there seems to be more than just a few?! And you come to a blind date and cause this ruckus?! Seeing that you're meeting with such a wretch, it's obvious, huh? Pretending to be all innocent and country-like but tricking everybody behind..." Sul is furious and yells: "Hey!!!! The dude who looks like oil!!!!! I'm gonna pull all your nose hair out!!?! Do you know the true taste of Janchi Guksu?!! Huh?? You ssanghwacha! (ssanghwacha is a bitter Korean medicine) Go eat your noodles with ketchup!!!" She grabs her bag and leaves, asking the employee to cancel her food order. As In Ho comments, "It's confirmed. That skank- she's crazy." As the blind date tries to escape, In Ho grabs him, saying that the blind date needs to pay for his medical bills. And In Ho's boss tells In Ho that he's fired. As Sul runs down the street, she screams to her self: "AH DAMN IT. TOTALLY. ANNOYING!" Her heal breaks in the process. And she trips. As she looks at her dirty self, she screams, asking "Why is my life like this?! Haven't I already hit rock bottom before!??!!! How could I drop even lower than this!!!!! How can this happen?!! Hoooow!!!!"

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 37 - One Way Traffic (3)
Summary

As Sul gets her bag, she comments on how she's going to kill Bo Ra. Then she notices that her cellphone is missing. She panics, and decides to go back to the store to get it back. But however, her shoes are now useless, and she concludes that if she goes back to the store right now, nothing good will come out of it, and decides to go home for now.

As In Ho talks with the blind date, they conclude the aftermath of their ruckus at the store (apparently In Ho's very happy with the outcome of their little chit-chat, stating that it was "easy", not having to go to the "police and the hospital"). At that moment, a call come from In Ho's sister. She asks if he's fired, and he's shocked at the fact that she guessed right. She claims that the longest he had survived in the customer service industry was two days, and the shortest was four hours- and was asking if he broke a record. She says that he's most well suited for manual labor, and In Ho hands up, annoyed by her teasing. As his phone rings again, he screams: "Ah, what?! Again, what?! Yeah! I was fired! In two hours! I broke that record, yeah! But I still ripped out some stuff from a dude who was picking a fight with me! Aren't you jealous? Ung? You want to get ripped too? Why are you picking a fight with me?"
Jung replies, "It's me."

(from here, I'll translate the dialogue. 'YJ' stands for 'Yoo Jung'. 'IH' stands for In Ho)

IH: "?! .... Yoo Jung? .... What? This number, how'd you... Ah, no.." (mutters 'Baek In Ha', his sister's name)
YJ: "Father didn't know that you were up here in Seoul. (Seoul - capital city of South Korea) Isn't it common manners to at least give a call to send your greetings? Must you make him tell me to ask you this later?"
IH: "-! Ha! Oh boy, look at this devoted son. It's not like I'm gaining anything to eat from you, so do I have to report it when I come to Seoul? I'll do it myself, you get that? "
YJ: "Seeing that you're like this even over here, it seems like you haven't changed a bit."
IH: "What? Are you a shaman? How'd you know...Ah- but anyways! Why is this bastard suddenly picking a fight with me-? Has everybody suddenly taken a interest in picking a fight with me- What's with the call, when did you ever care?"
YJ: "Well, for me, it's fine, but anyways. If the person who father was sponsoring is going around like this, nothing good will come of that."
IH: "Puhah-?! Aigoo- Is that so?! And when did you ever start caring about that as well? It's not like this is the first time, but why are you like this? I'll just live well, the way I want to, so why don't you drop the attention?!"
YJ: "If you're here, take good care of your noona. You siblings shouldn't cause trouble as a pair."
IH: "....Hm hm! Th...that, In Ha, that girl... Anyways, she seems like she's living so so, just fine... If she just gets her job fixed up, won't it seem like it'll be alright...? Isn't th...at so? ..........."
YJ: "You really haven't changed. Do you think we'll post up a girl that's been appointed by the authorities but still hasn't thought about getting the certificate? Do we seem so funny to you?"
IH: "Ah, no.... It's not that you guys are funny... But if you're going to help us out anyway... It's fine for me, since I'm a guy. But my noona...well...you probably know already! You must be bothered by it as well, right? At least making a rough excuse..."
YJ: "That's something you need to do, you and your noona. I'm turning a blind eye to you people because of Father. A volunteer needs its limits. You think that I'll let the water continue to pour into a broken glass?"
IH: "Hey! It's not like this is a big loss for your family!"
YJ: "That's not it. Right now, money isn't the problem. You don't understand my words?"
IH: "...."
YJ: "I've held it in until now because I felt pity, but any more than this is a waste of energy."
IH: "What?! Pity?!"
YJ: "You listen carefully to me. After I finish my studies and go back to my place, I'll cut off all support related to you two. Even though you're the grandchildren of Professor Baek, and even though Father's pampering you because of that- I'm just keeping it like this right now, because I'm still young, but this will be the end of turning a blind eye. There's only a few years left. So until then, find yourself a way to survive."
IH: "Damn it. Yoo Jung, you bastard-What? Pity? Think about the things you've done! Why! I'm! Like this! I have nothing to ashamed about!
YJ: "I have nothing to ashamed about either. What wrong did I do? Until now, even ever since that age, we've been supporting your noona. What else do you want from us? You really want me to marry her? The thing that your sister always sings about?"
IH: "Ah...No, that talk...Now..."
YJ: "If you're going to be greedy, make it something a bit more constructive and realistic. You should know well that if one gets above oneself, then the ending won't be good, right?"
IH: "You bastard... You haven't changed a bit either.."
YJ: "Seems that way. Now that I think about it, why does everybody expect it to be obvious for people to change. Me and you both. Anyways. Live with your mind straight."

Jung hangs up, and In Ho is furious. He throws his hat on the ground, says some profane things, and yells about how it's "His father's money", not Jung's, and screams, "That devil-like bastard!!!"

Jung calls Sul, but she does not pickup (her cellphone's apparently turned off). As Sul appears in the alley, she talks about how she wants to go home and take a shower. She sees Jung, and he calls out her name. She's surprised, and tries to talk about In Ho at the restaurant, but he cuts her off and asks her why her feet are like that before she can explain. She says that she tripped, and she's embarrassed by her current state. He tells her that he'll drop her off. He says that his shoes are too big, and it'll be no use to Sul, so it'll be better for her to just go home and get cleaned up. As they walk in silence, Sul thinks to herself about how Jung looks like he's not in a good mood, and how it's rather scary. She asks why he's here, and he tells her that she wasn't picking up her phone, and he remembered that he had dropped her off last time around the area. He continues that he never thought that he'd really meet her. Sul asks if he has an urgent problem or something, and asks if it's about the assignment.. He cuts her off, and says that he's "continued to think." He says, "Today, you, to me......No. These days, you acted a bit more comfortably around me and happily talked to me. So I thought that we had become pretty close to each other. But you, had a reason as well."

Sul is shocked, and tries to explain- she says that it's not like that, and asks if it's about Ah Young- but he cuts her off saying, "You're not even making up an excuse for yourself." As he drops her off, he tells her, "It's really difficult to have a meal with you."

As In Ho observes Sul's phone, he looks at her missed calls list.
It says, "Yoo Jung, Bo Ra, Yoo Jung, Yoo Jung, Ah Young, Ah Young, Yoo Jung, Mom, Mo Na".

In Ho says, "Yoo Jung?"

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 38: Dinner Show - Act 1 (1)

Summary

Sul approaches Yoo Jung and says "Hello", and then tries to explain about yesterday, but Yoo Jung cuts her off, replying back "Yeah, hi."

Bo Ra talks to Sul about how she promised the person who picked up Sul's cellphone to meet thirty minutes after class, and how Ah Young wanted to meet Sul after class for a moment. Bo Ra begins to massage Sul and say nice things to her ("But you look even prettier today, you know-??"). Eun Taek comments on how the friend of the oppa Bo Ra knew was so "deadly". Bo Ra tells Eun Taek that she argued with the oppa about this. and Sul gets up to get to her class. Bo Ra is extremely sorry about what happened to Sul, and Sul tells Bo Ra that the only way she'll forgive Bo Ra is with ten food tickets for the school cafeteria. Eun Taek drags Bo Ra with him to class.

As Sul walks down the hall, she decides to meet Ah Young for a moment after class and then go meet the person who found her cellphone. She also concludes that it doesn't seem like Jung will forgive her easily, and decides to go apologize to him properly. As Jung hangs out with his friends, talking about the final assignment, Sul realizes that Jung is usually surrounded by people. She realizes that if she can't find the chance to talk to him during class, she'll have to follow him around - which she realizes would possibly cause more trouble. Sul approaches Jung and says: "S...Sunbae. Uhm...uhm, yesterday... I'm very sorry about it. I really wasn't acting with such intentions..." and Jung merely replies: "Yeah, okay." Sul tries to explain she was merely trying to help Ah Young, but Jung cuts her off, saying that he wants to look at his print outs, forcing Sul to leave him alone. As Sul walks back to her seat, some of her sunbae friends ask what happened between the two, since they were usually pretty close together. They tell Sul that he seems pretty angry, and that Jung isn't the type to get angry. They ask: "What exactly did you do to make him like that?" Sul is quite annoyed at the question, and replies: "I don't know either!"

As the professor enters, they talk about the final project, which will be done in groups of four. As the groups are chosen, Sul's group is composed of Sul, Sang Chul, an older sunbae, and another female student. Sang Chul is extremely hyped up, and says that if Sul's in the group, there's nothing to worry about. Sul is bothered by the fact that she is in the same group as Sang Chul, but concludes that it's nothing big, since everybody else seems trustworthy. The unknown female student greets Sul, saying that it's great that they've been grouped up together. Sul replies politely back, but she can't remember the female student's name. The female student notices this and tells Sul that her name is Son Min Soo. Min Soo tells Sul that they haven't talked much but that Min Soo and Sul greeted each other last week, and they had a secret last year- and at that point, Sul remembers who Min Soo is (the girl who warned Sul about Joo Yeon putting something in Sul's drink last year). Sul comments on how Min Soo's hair has changed a lot, and Min Soo tells Sul that she has always thought that Sul's bag is pretty. Sul says that she bought a used one and Min Soo says that she has one similar to Sul's, and when Min Soo says that she should bring it next time, the female sunbae asks why Sul acted like that a while ago. She says the mood is strange between Sul and Jung, and the female sunbae and Sang Chul begins to talk about it. Sul replies that "I told you, really, nothing's going on!!" Sang Chul points out Jung's group, and they comment on how Jung's group is made up of seniors only, and they notice how Ha Jae Woo's in the group as well. As Sul watches Jung, she thinks about how even if she apologizes now, there's no real use in it, but she thinks that she can't continue to ignore this. As Jung turns away, Sul realizes that Jung is acting like how he acted last year - how he replies as if Sul was annoying, and how he acts as if he has no interest- Sul realizes that she's seeing these actions again this year.

Ah Young asks Sul what happened to her cellphone, and Sul says that somebody found it for her, and that she's going to go find it later. Ah Young brings up Yoo Jung to the conversation, and tells Sul "That sunbae is a bit...Ehm..." Sul asks if something happened, and Ah Young continues that "No, it's that after unni left... He started to just sit there silently, doing nothing. His mood changed radically so suddenly, so I felt rather awkward, and continued to talk to him...." But Jung merely replied "Really? I'm not sure. Is that so? I'm not sure." and Ah Young was rather dumbfounded by his dull reactions. She says that "...I thought all this time that he looked nice...but it was the first time I've felt something like that." She describes how Jung offered to escort Ah Young home, but Ah Young refused. Ah Young continues that: "I thought about it a lot, whether or not I should tell unni...But he's unni's sunbae... And I thought that I might look a bit strange... No, I think that maybe I'm oversensitive and taking something that's not serious too seriously. But you know that people have that feeling. Maybe he's a person very different from what one imagines him to be..." She continues to ask: "I think I did something bothersome. To that sunbae and unni. By any chance, did that sunbae say anything to unni?" Sul is surprised and replies that nothing happened. Sul tells Ah Young that there's nothing for her to worry about, and tells Ah Young that if she's worried over this, then she will talk about this with Jung. Ah Young replies that it's not necessary. Ah Young then runs off to her class.

After Ah Young runs off, Sul is angered by the fact that Jung acted in such a way to Ah Young as well. She wonders: "What's the problem that would make him so angry like this? Because I introduced him to Ah Young? Just because of that? I can't understand this!" Then Sul remembers what Jung said about her having a "reason" and is reminded of all the people that follow Jung around saying stuff like "Can you buy me a meal?" or "If I hang around with him, I feel a bit superior myself." Sul is remind of how Jung said "You...as well." Sul then thinks "By any chance... He expected something from me that was different from the others. Is that why he started talking to me?...??? No, but exactly to me...? Didn't he dislike me? Why would he suddenly think of me like that?" As Sul is in her thoughts about how she feels a bit guilty, a girl calls out for her. Sul thinks about how even though last year's events are still bothering her, she received a lot of help from Yoo Jung this year - she continues to think: "No, right? It's that sunbae that decided to have high expectations of me by himself? But no, it's true that he helped me a lot last time... And if as somebody who received help, I should return the favor, not make him angry...Ah!!! But it's not like I did it on purpose!! Ahak!!! I don't know anymore!!!! I really really hate these sorts of situations!!!" Then she remembers the time she had with Jung, and thinks: "That expression back then... with what thoughts..." when the girl screams in her ear, asking Sul why she's not picking up her phone and if Sul knows how long she's been waiting. The chapter ends with Sul going: "Uh...?! You- Mona?"

Chapter 38: Dinner Show - Act 1 (2)
Summary

Mona asks Sul briefly about her lost cellphone. Mona tells Sul that she just arrived in Seoul yesterday after taking a leave of absence at her school. She has decided to help out a sunbae with his/her internet shopping mall. She has decided to gain more experience before going back to school. Mona asks if everything's okay with Sul's family, and if Sul's father is the same as always. Sul replies that he is, adding on that "It seems like his business isn't going well; he's busy. I can't see him even more these days now that I'm living on my own." She says that it costs a lot to live on her own, and that she needs to study even harder. Mona pats her head, saying "You kid..." Mona asks about Joon (who we can assume is Sul's younger brother), and Sul replies that he's doing so well that he's not even contacting much. Mona declares that it would be great if "her Lisa" (I'm assuming that this is her younger sister) was even half the kid Joon is- apparently Lisa got into a traffic accident last year, but she's still riding a motorcycle around. The two talk about how Ah Young got into Sul's school, and how their previous teacher is having a second child. Mona then tells Sul, "I was curiously about that amazing Yoo Jung! Is he around here right now-? I heard about him often over the phone, you know? Let me look and see-" Sul explains the situation to Mona, and she replies that "What. That means he's pissed off." She claims that "It's not like there weren't any problems concerning Ah Young. But it seems like he's in a pissed-off state because the thing he's been working so hard on all flew away to a blind date." Sul is confused at Mona's words, and Mona explains that "It seems like he's interested in you, hm?" Sul claims that it's not like that and asks "Why exactly would that sunbae...in me..." Mona says that she doesn't know, but it's important that the two mend this. Sul says, "You're right... I feel uncomfortable and all this..." However, Mona says. "Hey, that's your second priority. He said that he'll let you go to an English school for a cheap price. If this goes on until the end of the finals, how will you be able to go around? You said your father's business isn't going well. You can't lose a chance like this! To be honest, because of what I heard from you last year about him kicking those files and all, I thought he was a really strange guy. I really don't like this Yoo Jung guy. If it were me, I'd like to make you cut off all ties with him at this point. But if you really do that, your school life would be really bothersome, so I'm letting go of the idea. Anyways, he's nice to you right now, so it's fine. Don't think too much about this, and just apologize. Apologize moderately, and hang with him moderately. Don't get too close to him. Okay?" Mona and Sul get up since Sul has to find her cellphone now. They promise to meet each other again when they find the time, and Sul says, "Yeah- It's nice since I haven't seen you in a while." Mona smiles and tells Sul, "Hong Sul! I told you back in high school as well, right? Live like a fox, right? Don't live like a bear."* Mona leaves.

As In Ho plays around with Sul's cellphone, he remembers the time he found Yoo Jung's name in Sul's missed call list. He looks through messages that Jung sent to Sul such as: "Are you feeling better now? Feel better, and see you in class" or "Yeah. I have the printouts ^^" or "Sul, for the movies, the afternoon is okay, right?" He looks through the pictures and finds Sul's picture with Jung and he yells, "Uwak! What is this! Kwwekk!!! Damn it, my eyes are burning!!! They're rotting!!!". Then he analyzes the situation and realizes that while Jung is smiling and being nice to her, Sul refuses to admit that they are in a relationship and she even went on a blind date, meaning that Sul was telling the truth all along- Sul really isn't in a relationship in Jung. In Ho smiles as he remembers his discovery and he sees Sul. Sul runs to get the cellphone from In Ho, but In Ho demands that she slows down and buy him coffee as thanks.

Sul buys him coffee and he tells her to "Stop with the frown! Now, hurry up and enjoy the freedom of the steaming hot cup of coffee." As he tries to say "I'm Yoo Jung's friend. You can act comfortably to me-" he burns himself with the hot coffee and begins to shout out things like "Ao, shit!! It's friggin' hot!!" Sul tells In Ho that "Sunbae said that you aren't his friend! He said to avoid you if I see you. I should have listened to what he said!" In Ho grins and says, "But we are friends, you know?" and continues to explain, "That guy is probably pissed at me. He has that slightly pissy side of him. He's quite pissed right now because I came to Seoul without telling him and not contacting him first. And he doesn't tell a lot of people that I'm his friend because he's usually angry with me..." This s a lie, but Sul can't help but believe In Ho because Jung is angry with her right now. She asks, "Uhm... He's pissed with you...?" In Ho replies, "Ah! That bastard, he gets pissed really easily." She asks how In Ho worked it out with him and In Ho asks if Jung's angry with Sul- she replies that she can't even talk to Jung right now. In Ho is shocked and yells "What?! That thing's angry at you?!" He asks how Jung acts toward her and she replies that Jung ignores her when she says something to him, and that it's to the point where others are noticing it. In Ho is shocked, thinking to himself: "Yoo Jung is? I just spat out anything I could think of. But seriously? Not only that, but in front of others?" He asks her what exactly she did. Sul explains everything, and In Ho concludes that Jung is angry over the blind date. He tells Sul to stubbornly hang on to Jung and act all cute, saying that he's sure that Jung will like it. Sul tells In Ho that it doesn't seem like Jung likes those types of girls. In Ho explains that it's probably because those girls were ugly- and he tells Sul that if it's her, it'd work out (but he doesn't look her in the eye when he says this- making Sul quite suspicious). In Ho asks "But how exactly are you trying to apologize? Isn't it better to just ignore it? Isn't college life like that? Ah, but well. It would be a loss. I understand." Sul stands up immediately at that word and leaves with her cellphone. Before she leaves, In ho asks Sul her name. She replies "It's...Hong Sul." In Ho says, "Hey, Hong Sul! If Yoo Jung does some stuff you don't like, contact me, okay? Even in my eyes, I'm a pretty okay person-" Sul refuses and leaves. As Sul leaves, In Ho laughs extremely hard, talking to himself about how Jung hates girls who hang on to him. He thinks that it'd be a shock to a guy like Jung if he found out that the girl he had an interest in was the type of girl he hated the most. He says to himself, "It's not bad for a start."

As Sul leaves the place, she gets a message saying "I'll see you again" from a person called "Baek In Ho." Sul is at first confused, but soon realizes: "His name's Baek In Ho? What, I thought it was Thomas for something." At home, she looks up how to act cute. She reads stories online about how it doesn't work unless you're super pretty like "Kim Tae Hee" (who is a Korean model/actress- she's considered to be one of Korea's best natural beauties). Sul is shocked by her findings.

*About Mona telling Sul to live like a fox, not a bear- In Korea, when a girl is a fox, she's charming, but sneaky and cunning. When a girl is like a bear, she's not as charming as a fox-like girl, but she's considered to be less sneaky and cunning. Basically, as a friend, Mona tells Sul to live a life a bit more strategically. Sul lives life too honestly and Mona seems worried that her friend will be harmed by this.

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 40. Dinner Show - Act 1 (3)
Summary

Continued from the previous chapter, Sul's reading the story about how somebody's plan to act cute failed. She imagines herself acting
cute to Jung, but then realized that Jung might punch her like the person in the story. She soon realized that she is distracted from her assignment and tries to focus. She concludes that Baek In Ho seemed to be either making up things in the middle or making things seem bigger than they really are. She says that while she was persuaded at the time because of her panic and even if Jung is all pissed off at In Ho, Jung told her to not deal with In Ho, meaning that In Ho might not be a trustworthy person. She decides that even if Jung is the type of person that likes cute actions, Jung might get even more angry thinking that she is trying to take the issue too lightly. She decides to just apologize directly, concluding that if her logic is right, he must be angry either because she introduced Ah Young to him, or because he expecting something from Sul, and was disappointed as a result. Sul then remembers what the others said about how Jung was "interested" in Sul, and how Jung called out her name. She thinks that she's over-thinking this, and that Jung's not interested in her, especially after what happened last year. Sul then decides to just give up if she can't get him to forgive her the next time. She thinks that she hasn't done anything so serious that she needs to apologize anymore, and she still really can't understand him. She decides that while it is a bit of a waste that she can't get the tutoring at a cheaper fee, she doesn't want to hang onto him like that. She then notices the time and goes back to her assignment.

At school, Sul is tired, as she only slept two hours. She is at school because of a group meeting in the morning, and there, she meets Jung. She is at first surprised to see Jung, but then realizes that he must be here for a group meeting as well. She greets him, saying "Ah...Hello!" He replies, "Yeah, hey..." Jung's friend greets Sul saying that only one person from Sul's group came. As the two walk away, she wonders if Jung is less angry.

Sul calls Sang Chul, but he's not picking up. She then calls the other female sunbae that is in the group, but that sunbae will be late thirty minutes late because the subway is delayed. Sul is extremely dismayed, but decides to just start with Min Soo. Sul hopes that this is the only day that things will be like this, and Min Soo tries to cheer Sul up, by saying that she did a lot work. Jung is glancing at Sul, then turns away when his group members begin to talk about the assignment.

Jae Woo tells everybody to gather up about fifty related articles, and each person reads about twelve and analyze it, to which Jung's friend (I'm not sure, but I think his name was Kyung Hwan) objects. Jae Woo says they have to do it for the assignment, but Jung offers a different way. He says that they should first completely understand and organize the two theories and choose the best examples, then organize it into two levels along with the negotiation objective. He says that instead of using a lot of examples, it would be best to understand the theories completely and then apply it. Jae Woo replies, "Do you know how many instances of international negotiations there are? The other groups are going to do all of that, but are you saying that we should only do one or two of them?" Jung continues to argue that he thinks it's better to choose a few number of examples and analyze them according to the theory and get a conclusion. Jae Woo scoffs, saying that all the others write reports that are extremely long, and that their report will become too short. Yoo Jung says that the page limit was ten pages, and that a greater amount doesn't necessarily mean a better report. He says that the professor will grade according to the quality of the research, and that there's no reason to work so ineffectively. The other team members agree with Jung.

Min Soo and Sul are working, and Min Soo asks Sul things such as where Sul got her perm. Sul then asks Min Soo what the objective of the negotiation is. They analyze Min Soo's paper in detail, and Sul says that if it states 'Negotiations with China' as the side title, that it should explain in detail what they will negotiate with China. Sul also states that the content for Level 2 seems a bit weak. Min Soo is rather sad, saying that while she researched the examples a lot, she didn't really have time to analyze it. She apologizes to Sul loudly, and Sul says that they still have time, asking "Hey, you're not disappointed because I said something like that when you researched so hard, right?" Min Soo replies that she is not, and promises to work harder. Sul thinks that Min Soo is a kind person, but she's rather difficult to deal with. Then a text comes from the female sunbae, stating that she'll be another twenty minutes late. Sang Chul still doesn't pick up. Sul is worried, thinking: "Our group... It'll be...fine, right? It's a final, so..." then she sighs. Jung looks at Sul. Sul then leaves because of a class. Sul decides to first go to class, then apologize properly to Jung later. As Sul leaves, Jung tries to saying something like "Ah, hey-" but Sul walks out, and Jung does not saying anything else. Jae Woo is confused at Jung's behavior.

As Bo Ra and Eun Taek are walking, Bo Ra tells Eun Taek to leave without her after class finishes today. Eun Taek asks if she has a blind group date, and she replies that he guessed correctly, almost like a ghost. Eun Taek asks, "Hey, Bo Ra noona. Why do you live like such a vagabond? Isn't it about time you stayed at one place?" Bo Ra replies that "Hull? What? I like freely enjoying my life, so who should I stick to?" Eun Taek replies, "Well, just that. You should look around you a bit. Who knows? There might be a nice guy around." Bo Ra is at first shocked, but replies, "Ah- Can't do that." Eun Taek asks why, and she replies, "Then Sul will be left alone! I like it as us three. If something happened between the two, Sul will obviously begin to notice things and begin to distance herself. I don't like that. Anyways. I'm going to class." And she leaves. As Eun Taek leaves, he replies, "Girls are really strange."

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 41: Dinner Show Act 1 (4)
    Summary

Eun Taek eats a double cheese burger to ease the hunger and pain of being dumped. He notices that he still has time left until class, and he goes to the hair salon for a new look. He's apparently a very "cool" guy.

Eun Taek asks the hair stylist to cut his hair with the exact angle he indicates. The hair stylist claims that Eun Taek is a very sensitive and sylish guy who cannot allow even a strand of hair to ruin his hair style. Apparently Eun Taek came a week ago as well to get the same cut. As Eun Taek checks his hair, he notices a girl that looks like Sul. He calls "Hong noona?", but realizes that it's not Sul. The hair stylist asks Eun Taek if he knows her, but Eun Taek replies that he must have made a mistake. He doesn't seem to remember Min Soo's exact name (he goes 'Min Sook? Mi Sook?' to himself). He claims that girls have such unoriginal hair styles these days, seeing how he mistook the person for Sul. He claims that they need to "maintain the sharpness" like him (to which the hair stylist cries "You're so cool, customer!!").

Sul sends a message to Eun Taek telling him to go ahead without her, since she will be staying after class for a while. He replies quickly with a simple "'Kay", to which Sul comments that he's very "sharp".

Sul waits for somebody, and Jung calls out for Sul later as he comes out. Sul tells Jung that she has something to tell him, and Jung's friend leaves to let them have a private talk.

Sul fidgets rather awkwardly. Jung asks Sul "Did something happen a while ago during the group assignments? No, you looked a bit tired...." Sul replies that "It was just that- We weren't very corresponding in our times...." Jung responds "Is that so". Sul is very frustrated by the mood, and speaks up first, saying: "Excuse me! Sunbae! I'm sorry. For doing such a thing with Ah Young on my own without asking sunbae first. It's true that I tried to forcefully introduce you two to each other, but I hope that you don't misunderstand this. I didn't get close to sunbae for Ah Young. It was that lately... I've become closer to sunbae, and thought that sunbae is a good person... So I introduced you two to each other. Who would get close to someone with a motive from the start? And plus, I'm very easy to see through, so..." Jung replies that Sul is very easy to see through. Sul panics and continues that "So, what I want to say is...! Relationships with others sort of naturally happen and people naturally close in to each other. It's not that I had a special reason to get close to-" Jung cuts her off, saying "I'm sorry as well."

Jung continues that "I panicked a bit... So I did that without knowing it myself. I understand that you would have been in panic yourself. To be honest, I was quite...acting like a child... so I'm a bit embarrassed as well..." Sul is surprised that he understands his actions. He continues that "If there is something that's bothering us, let's forget it." And Sul replies: "Yes". Sul is surprised that he is apologizing so nicely. She always thought that he was a cold, proud person last year, but now she sees some honesty in him.

Jung looks at the clock and sees that it's late. He offers to escort Sul home. She claims that Jung must be busy, and that her place is nearby, so there's no reason for him to do so. But he says that Sul waited all this time for him, and it's dangerous for a girl to go around alone late at night. Sul is slightly happy at how he said "girl", but still hesitates. He tells her that he won't ask her to eat dinner together, so she doesn't need to feel pressured.

As In Ho gets back to his place, he complains about how he's now doing hard labor and asks himself why he came to Seoul in the first place. He pulls out his ramen and milk. As he drinks the milk, his neighbor comes up and gets angry at In Ho for stealing his milk all this time. In Ho claims that he'll pay back. The neighbor tells In Ho that he'll be watching In Ho from now on, and that he should be careful if he doesn't want any legal trouble.

In Ho glances at his cellphone, wondering why Sul is not contacting him. He wonders if she did not do what In Ho told her to do. He is curious and starts stirring his ramen with his left hand, but he cannot use the chopsticks properly. He thinks to himself "I used my left hand without knowing it..." Then he lifts his left hand, opens it and then closes it.

As Jung drops Sul off, Sul tells Jung "After finals are finished, I'll buy a meal! I'll buy something expensive!" He asks how expensive it'll be, and Sul replies 10000 won per person (about 9.2 USD). He doesn't reply, so she panics and states 15000 won (about 14 USD), and continues to steadily raise the price. He laughs and Sul asks him if he was joking. She says "Why do you keep on doing things that Eun Taek does..." He tells Sul that she has to buy him food, and he leaves. Sul thinks to herself "If he was disappointed about not being able to eat dinner, then I'll just buy him dinner!"

Sul's drunk neighbor, Joo Yong, walks down the streets, talking on the cellphone. He yells "Ah- Yeah! I drank alcohol! Can't I drink some alcohol?! Is there a rule that I have to study all day in my room-? Are you the only one who feels stuuuffed-??" The voice on the other end yells: "Ao! You're in the streets, right? Embarrassing! I'm hanging up!!" Joo Yong screams: "Yeah!! Now honey's embarrassed of me! The affection must have died down because now I'm pitiful and have no money!"

Joo Yong bumps into Jung, and he gets angry at Jung for a moment, while Jung apologizes politely. Then Joo Yong turns back, and notices something. He calls out: "Yoo Jung? Are you...Jung?" And Jung replies: "Joo Yong hyung."

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 42: Acquaintances (1)*
    Summary

    Starts with flashback!

People come up to Jung and say things like "You've grown a lot-" or "You're becoming more and more good-looking" to the young Jung. Jung, however, tries to avoid people and runs away from his parents talking to other adults. A woman tells him to not wander off too far away. He runs by a little girl and the girl blushes when she sees him.

A girl is crying in her parent's arms. Jung plays around with his remote controlled truck, but it doesn't move. A man walks around with a cup in his hand, humming something like "I'm Gong Joo, Gong Joo, Gong Joo Yong-" ("Gong Joo" literally means "princess" in Korean). He notices Jung, and calls out "Jung! What are you doing here?" Jung looks up and replies: "Joo Yong hyung." Joo Yong asks Jung what the boy is doing all by himself at someone else's birthday party. He asks if Jung is sick, and then they hear the sound of a girl crying. Joo Yong asks if it was Jung that just got in trouble for making the girl cry. Joo Yong says that Jung is a boy, and should not hit girls, when Jung retorts back: "No!! She broke this first! I was just hanging out by myself! And I didn't hit her. She didn't apologize and kept hanging on to me, so all I did was push her slightly-" When the crying girl's mother points out to the girl that Jung is right over there, she cries even louder. Jung tells Joo Yong: "She's crying louder on purpose. When I was already punished enough! It's noisy because of the sound of her crying. My head hurts. I want to go home..." Joo Yong replies: "What? It's because of that that you're here like this? Sigh-! Of course, kids don't get this sort of stuff, I guess-? She's doing this because she wants you to look at her! She's angry and doing this because she wants to play with you, but Jung only keeps on playing with the toy, you know? But you didn't understand her feelings, and even got angry at her. It's your fault for not understanding the girl's feelings! I'd have no wish in the world if I received such attention!" Jung replies that he has no such interests. He says that he did everything he should have in the beginning. He greeted her, and was polite to her, but she still broke the toy. He says that he understands that she's sad, but he's angry that he was the only one who got punished. He then comments: "...... She broke my truck. So I should have broken the neck of her doll." Joo Yong is shocked at the comment, and yells: "Hey! This tiny squirt!! How can you blab such scary things! I thought my liver was going to fall off in shock!!" Jung asks: "You hit me?" Joo Yong replies that he did, and hits Jung once again. Jung is shocked. Joo Yong continues: "Hey, idiot. Because of your looks and your family, there'll be much more people approaching you and much more serious things will happen. Are you going to get angry every time this happens? No matter what you think, people are bound to gather around you! Look at today's party. It's somebody else's birthday, but people are more concerned about your family, right? Of course, you're annoyed by all that, but if you blatantly show you're discomfort, it's going to hurt you! I've been going to middle school these days-! And you can't compare it to elementary school at all- It's a total jungle. If there was a guy who was transparent like you and got angry as easily as you, no matter how great they are, they'd be hated until graduation, you know? And as a hyung, I'm giving you this advice! Go around smiling! No matter what, smile in front of others! That's the best!! Even when you're angry, it's smart to smile and get over it. All the adults love you, right? They'll all think you're cute. You're smart, so you understand what I'm saying, right? Listen to it carefully!" Joo Yong then drinks the drink in his cup. Jung asks if it is alcohol. Joo Yong says that it is, and that he sneaked out while greeting all the adults. As they talk with each other, the girl cried louder. Joo Yong says that the girl is doing this to gain Jung's attention, and that Jung should just smile and apologize. Joo Yong then leaves.

As the girl is crying, Jung approaches her. He says: "Stop crying. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for pushing you. Okay?" and he smiles. The girl demands that he plays with her if he wants to be forgiven and demands that Jung holds her hand. The adults talk about how cute they are together.

As the girl sleeps, it can be seen that the neck of her doll is ripped off.

Jung tells the adults that Joo Yong had persuaded Jung to drink the alcohol. The adults immediately surround Jung, and Joo Yong gets into trouble. He is hit by an adult, and Jung tells his mother that he feels sick and that he wants to go home. Joo Yong is shocked by Jung's attitude. Jung looks back at Joo Yong and points at his own head, murmuring "Hm." When the adults ask Jung if he's okay, Jung smiles and replies that he is. The adults comment on how mature Jung is. Joo Yong gets into more trouble by his father.

    Back to present day-

Joo Yong and Jung are drinking at a small restaurant. Joo Yong comments on how he hasn't seen Jung after he entered college. He asks Jung why he's here, and Jung replies that he goes to college around here. Joo Yong replies that he remembers that Jung got in the A university, and comments on how Jung's an elite university student. Jung then asks Joo Yong how he became like this. Joo Yong hesitates, and Jung tells Joo Yong that he heard that Joo Yong got kicked out. Joo Yong explains that his family opposed his love relationship. Jung is surprised and says: "Love? Were you the type of person to give up everything you had for such a thing? Hyung was like this?" Joo Yong blushes and says this person is the first person that has loved Joo Yong so unconditionally. Jung comments: "What? Hyung, are you filming a drama right now? Isn't it better to get your head straight and hurry back home?"

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 43- Acquaintances (2)
    Summary

At Jung's comment, Joo Yong replies Jung must find this sort of thing silly. Jung replies that it was Joo Yong that told him to live realistically. Joo Yong replies that Jung doesn't really realize how life is more extreme than a drama.

    -flashback-
(PS. Joo Yong uses a gender ambiguous pronoun to describe his lover during most of his conversation. So, instead of using gender specific pronouns such as 'he' or 'she', I'm going to use the word "love"

Joo Yong confesses to Jung that he was afraid of being abandoned when he came out of his family's place. He wondered if his lover would come if Joo Yong called, and he also wondered if there is anything really left in him if he doesn't have money. Contrary to Joo Yong's belief, his lover arrives to meet him, and Joo Yong cries out: "H..Honey..."

    -end of flashback-

Joo Yong tells Jung that he was very touched that moment. He claims that while his life is a bit unsightly right now, he feels that life is okay with his lover and that he wants to come on Human Theater (a Korean television show about the touching, inspirational stories of people) with his lover when they grow old. Jung says: "Sure, if you insist that you like it that much..." Joo Yong asks Jung if he has a girl that he can film Human Theater with. Joo Yong continues that from the looks of the girls that Jung has met until now, they were more like people from the modle house rather than the Human Theater Show. Jung says that Joo Yong is drunk. Joo Yong continues to tell Jung to meet somebody special like he has. Jung asks: "Youve been continuously showing off ever since a while ago... You must like her quite a bit, right? What does this girl do for a living?" Joo Yong is shocked, and remembers that Jung goes to the A university as well. Joo Yong stutters: "Ju...Just... Working hard.... " and then laughs. He cuts off Jung from asking more and tells Jung to meet somebody like Joo Yong's lover, and later realize how deep Joo Yong's words were in the future. Joo Yong hits Jung in a friendly manner, but then panics, as he remembers what Jung did to him a long time ago. He tells Jung to not do anything strange, and Jung sighs. Joo Yong is surprised that Jung is not angry, and Jung replies that there's no reason for him to get angry. Joo Yong laughs and comments: "Ehaha!! Right! It's not like we're still little kids- You must have changed as well!" Jung replies: "Well, I guess so..."

As Sul is typing, In Ho sends her a message asking if she made up with Jung. Sul begins to write a detailed reply about how they made up, but ends up just sending: "Yes." In Ho is shocked, and he comments on how he wanted to see Jung get screwed up, and how Sul isn't helping at all with his plan. He texts: "How'd you do it? I need to make up with him as well." Sul replies: "We just apologized to each other honestly and solved it out." In Ho is surprised and says: "Apology? He's not the type of person to accept that so easily-" Sul decides to be polite, and texts: "Anyways, thank you for the cellphone and the advice. Then, good bye." Just as she decides to continue her assignments, In Ho replies back: "Then buy me a meal." Sul takes the batteries out her cellphone, and goes to sleep. In Ho is waiting for a reply, but then goes: "So, she's ignoring me, is that it! What a clammed up girl- Anyways, Yoo Jung must have a hard time as well-"

Joo Yong is drunk, and mumbles stuff about how Jung gets everything easily. At this moment, Joo Yong gets a call, and Jung picks up the cellphone. The caller id states: "Sseob ♥" and Jung asks if this is Joo Yong's girlfriend. Joo Yong panics and demands that Jung gives him the cellphone back. Jung asks why Joo Yong is acting like this, and he replies that he had a fight with his girlfriend, and that he's ignoring his girlfriend on purpose. He tells Jung that it's late, and that he should go home now. Joo Yong says that he'll stay and finish up the food, but he does ask Jung if he can pay for the meal. Jung does pay for the meal, and he also leaves some extra money for Joo Yong to use. After Jung leaves, Joo Yong orders more alcohol with the money.

Joo Yong is sleeping, and the AP comes up to him, complaining about how he's such a mess. The AP claims that he knew Joo Yong would be here, and that he hasn't changed his repertoire even a bit. The AP pushes and shakes Joo Yong's head, but he doesn't wake up. The AP asks the owner lady that why she didn't stop him from drinking so much. The owner lady replies: "Uh? Lad, Yoon Seob is here?" Yoon Seob asks how much Joo Yong owes her, but the lady replies that Joo Yong doesn't owe her anything today, and that he even came with a different lad. She claims that the man was very good looking, and that they looked very close, calling Joo Yong "hyung" and even paid for Joo Yong's meal. Yoon Seob glances at Joo Yong, and cries out: "Hyu-ung?"

Sang Chul approahces Ah Young and asks Ah Young why she's in this building. Ah Young tells him that she has a class here at the building. Sang Chul says that he has a class in this building as well, and wonders why they haven't met each other until now. Ah Young replies politely, and begins to leave. Sang Chul stops Ah Young from leaving and says: "I'm busy these days, so I haven't been able to talk to Jung often- That guy, is it going well between him and our Hong hoobae?" Ah Young is surprised and merely replies: "Excuse me?" Sang Chul says: "From what I saw during the group assignments, the cold aura is surrounding them! Are they in a cold war? Is that it? What do you think, Ah Young?" Ah Young replies: "What...are you talking about..." Sang Chul replies: "Uh? You haven't heard from Hong hoobae? The rumor about the two going out has been totally spread around our department, you know-!? But maybe they fought right as the rumor started, and they don't seem very comfortable these days. Ah?! So Ah Young didn't know this, hm? Since we've met and all, I'll buy you a drink. I'll also tell you about this in more detail..." Ah Young replies: "No, it's fine. I don't know how such a rumore began to spread in sunbae's department, but don't talk so easily about other's personal matters. Why..." But Sang Chul cuts her off, and goes: "Aigoo-! It seems like Ah Young doesn't understand Yoo Jung very well. But to be honest, Jung with the girls..." Ah Young frowns, and goes: "Excuse me. Who unni is going out with, what kind of person that sunbae is. Why do I have to hear such things from Kim Sang Chul sunbae? Why are you saying such things about your hoobaes to a different department student like me? Especially when it's something that has yet to be proven. I'll be leaving now." Sang Chul is in a bad mood after Ah Young leaves, pulls Jae Woo and complains about how nothing goes the way he wants it to go these days.

Cheese in the Trap 44: Acquaintances (4)
    Summary

As Sul walks in, she greets Jung, and Jung greets her back. As they talk with each other, people murmur around the two, wondering if the two are friends again. Sul comments that she somehow feels like she has won and likes the feeling. She then accidentally asks: "Ah, now that I think about it, did you go back home safely last night? Our neighborhood's alleyways are a bit complicated..." And the whole class is shocked at her comment. Sul is shocked at how she could have said such a thing in the classroom, and realizes that she has dug her own grave. Jung replies that Sul went back home late as well, so she must be tired. Sul replies that she had work to do. Jung comments: "Your neighborhood, it was really dark at night and the alleyways were narrow, so it seemed a bit dangerous. And there aren't many streetlights... You shouldn't go around there so late at night." Sul laughs awkwardly at his comment and replies: "Th...that's right!! All female students of the world should do that!! E...Early early! Of course!" Jung replies "Yeah."

Sang Chul yells about how Ah Young needs to see what's going on. And the girls ask Sul about how everything is going, while Min Soo tries to greet Sul. Jung's friend asks Jung: "What, what-! So you escorted her to her house yesterday? Late at night-?", to which Jung replies: "Yeah. Because it was late." People ask Jung if he's really in such a relationship with Sul, and Jung replies: "What? What do you mean by 'such a relationship'." Jae Woo gets angry and tells the others to stop talking about such useless stuff and start doing what they were supposed to do. Sang Chul comments on how Jae Woo is so moody.

As Jae Woo leaves, Sang Chul grabs him and asks him where he is going. He asks Jae Woo to share some of his assignments, since he is busy with preparation for jobs. Jae Woo cries that he is a senior student as well, but Sang Chul replies that Jae Woo is younger than him. Jae Woo yells that that doesn't matter, since they are both ultimately seniors. Sang Chul then find Jae Woo's notes for the graduation exam, and demands that he copies it. Jae Woo gets angry, and says that he worked very hard to organize those notes since 3 months ago. Sang Chul claims that since he worked so hard, it would be a waste for the notes to be used just once. Jae Woo refuses, and Sang Chul cries that Jae Woo is being stingy, especially since the test will be either pass or not-pass, and not based on actual numerical scores. He tells Jae Woo that he should be more like Yoo Jung. Sang Chul continues that Jung is first place even when he does lend notes, and that Jae Woo should be more relaxed. Jae Woo yells: "Ah, then why don't you borrow them for Yoo Jung!!!!" Everyone in the class stares at the two, and Sang Chul laughs awkwardly. Jae Woo runs away, and the students comment on how it's Jae Woo again, and how Sang Chul and Jae Woo must have been enemies in their past lives.

As Sul, Bo Ra, and Eun Taek walk together, they talk about how Sang Chul and Jae Woo fought again. Just then, a message comes from Min Soo. Min Soo does not know how to work a certain function on the computer. Sul starts to explain- telling Min Soo to go to the 'object property' button. Min Soo asks how to go to the button, and Sul begins to explain ("if you double-click the image or press the right button of the mouse..."), but is rather annoyed by Min Soo's failure to do things on her own. Min Soo still asks what to do after double-clicking the image. Sul explains again, and at that point Min Soo understands. Bo Ra comments on how Sul will get anxious working with Min Soo. Bo Ra then changes the topic and exclaims that they promised to go somewhere during summer break. They narrow it down to either Pusan (a harbor city in the South of Korea) or Namiseom (a island in Korea). Eun Taek claims that they must go to the place with more good things to eat. Bo Ra asks for Sul's opinion- to which Sul replies: "Ah, I don't care where we go. Just wherever you guys want..." Bo Ra still asks for Sul's opinion though, and Sul replies the same. Bo Ra asks Sul if she seems to be trying to take Sul with her by force. Sul replies that Bo Ra isn't doing anything of the sort, and that she just doesn't know which place is better. Sul then changes the topic to what they should eat for lunch. Eun Taek says: "Spicy seafood noodles!" Bo Ra says: "How about Pizza?" Sul wants: "Tuna Kimchi stew", and In Ho appears and demands for "Spicy Tofu stew." Everybody (especially Sul) is surprised at In Ho's appearance, and In Ho claims that it is easy to find Sul. Sul asks In Ho why he is here, and In Ho claims that she has a debt to pay. Bo Ra asks who this person is, and Sul replies that he is the person who found her cellphone. Eun Taek and Bo Ra are quite impressed with In Ho's looks. Sul asks who would really come to find her like this, and In Ho replies that he would. He claims that she is too cold to the person who found her cellphone and who even gave her advice.

Sul ends up buying In Ho food. Sul asks: "...It's done with this, right?" To which In Ho replies: "Wow, you've got no conscience, really. You need to treat me at least two more times!" She demands why she would do that, and he claims that considering the price of her cellphone, she must do this.

(I really like Sul and In Ho's convo here, so I'm going to translate the whole thing... S is Sul, IH is In Ho)
S: "Wow, seriously... I would rather just buy a new one!"
IH: "Right, yours was totally old. You should change and follow the trends, you know. These days, everybody carries around these!"
S: "Rather than that company's, isn't a different company's item more popular? It doesn't seem like the type of model I see around often!"
IH: "He, Hey! That other company's products have bad service! This one is much more efficient! Young ones are so absorbed with the outer appearances these days."
    S: "What?"
    *food is delivered*
IH: "Of course, tofu stew, it's good."
S: "Tofu stew may be good, but over here, the tuna kimchi stew is better."
IH: "Yeah, that is good. Is there a good place for that in this area of Seoul?"
S: "Uh? Do you come here often?"
IH: "I live nearby. The student hotel near the station."
S: "Ah...." (Huk, he lives nearby me...)

In Ho then notices the time and begins to eat in a hurry with both hands. Sul comments "You can use both hands? That's interesting." In Ho replies: "I used to be left-handed. But it's because my left hand fingers got injured a bit. It's okay usually. But sometimes I feel like it's not my finger." Sul replies: "So that's it..." And In Ho comments: "Yoo Jung did this." Sul wonders what In Ho means, and wonders if this happened while the two were playing with each other and an accident happened. He remembers Yoo Jung saying that he's not friends with In Ho. In Ho says: "He's a funny bastard."

Bo Ra and Eun Taek are eating food. They decide to bet on who Sul's going to end up with. Eun Taek claims that he bets a pork dish on Yoo Jung. Bo Ra says: "Then I bet an onion dish on the yankee-"

Cheese in the Trap 45 - Starting Point (1)
    Summary

As they exit the restaurant, In Ho tells Sul that she has to treat him two more times, but as Sul begins to complain, In Ho pulls her hair suddenly in order to stop her from bumping into an incoming door. He says that it was a mistake, and the incoming customers apologize casually, but Sul is shocked at the fact that he pulled her hair. In Ho is also shocked and claims: "What is this? Is this human hair? More like dog fur, hm?" Sul yells: "Now see here!!!"

Sul stomps off angrily while In Ho claims that she is making a fuss when he helped her from getting hurt. He calls her: "Hey, dog fur! You said you made up with Yoo Jung? I'm warning you as a bit of service. Be careful of that Yoo Jung bastard. Get a hold of yourself when he's treating you specially like he is right now." Sul is surprised and murmurs: "Excuse me?" In Ho replies: "Well, you can just ignore my words if you want~ You still have 2 chances left~!"

As he walks away, he thinks to himself: "Girls usually are totally sucked into him and can't get a hold of themselves. But that girl seems to be pretty sharp and has a good intuition... If I tell her this much, she'll look Yoo Jung over again. That way it's a bit fair, right? There's no law saying that everything in the world has to go the way Yoo Jung wants it to."

As Sul walks away, she wonders: "That person... Instead of being friends....Was there something between the two? Something's a bit strange since a while ago...?...If it were the me from last year, I'd be suspicious and ask...." She ultimately decides to not get deeply involved in the issue.

When Sul gets home, she sends a message to her group members asking them to send their individual files by 9pm tomorrow and have a group meeting through the online messengers then. She knows that she did most of the research, but since the score is more important, she decides to let it slide. As she stretches, she hears a sound from next door. It's Sul's neighbor fighting with somebody (most likely over the phone). The neighbor says: "Ah-! I told you it's not like that! How many time do I have to tell you, honey! What? No, what are you planning to do after you call them? You're the same school as them, what if something bad happens? Ah- I told you, it's not a lie!!!" Sul notices that her neighbor is louder these days, and wonders if something happened with his girlfriend. Just then, a text message from all her group members come, agreeing to Sul's plan. She is extremely happy at their early replies, but then realizes that it's quite sad how she's being all happy over something so small.

Sul's listening to music as she walks. Jung walks up behind her and calls out her name. He continues to call her name, but she doesn't notice. She even yawns. He laughs a bit when she yawns. And then taps her shoulder. Sul is surprised and looks behind and sees Jung. She doesn't understand what Jung is saying, and when Jung shakes his head, she realizes that she can't hear because of her earphones. Jung takes her earphones out and tells her, "You have to take your earphones off. Sul, you seem out of it these days." Sul is shocked and blushes when Jung leans over to put the earphones in her bag. As she leans over to tell him that she'll put them in the bag herself, she trips, and he catches her, saying: "Sul! You have to be careful!" At that moment, Sul remembers In Ho warning her, and how Jung warned her on numerous occasions last year, especially the one where she tripped and he catched her just like now, and he told her: "Be careful from now on. Hm?" Sul flinches and screams slightly. She realizes her mistake, and cries: "Ah...!! I...I was surprised so...! I'm...I'm sorry!! It...It wasn't on purpose...That..." As she panics, Jung surprisingly tells her: "Sul! It's okay, don't worry about it. We'll be late for class. Let's hurry up and go." As they walk, Sul blames herself for her mistake. Jung merely glances at her and casts a strange look.

At class, Jung asks Sul what kind of music she listens to. She brightens up and says that she listens to the mainstream music these days. She asks if Jung knows this band, and excitingly tells him that they released a new song. He says that he'll listen to them next time. Sul asks Jung what kind of music he listens to. He replies that while he doesn't enjoy a certain genre, he listens to classical music often while driving. Sul is slightly fazed by his reply. She then asks him what kind of food he likes. He laughs and she asks the food he likes the best. At the moment Sul says: "I'll buy you that for dinner..." he replies: "Ehm..From when I went to Europe..." Sul and Jung are both slightly surprised. Sul sulks, but then Jung tells Sul that anything Sul likes is fine. She is worried a bit, but he replies: "I'm fine with anything. Anything you like I'll like too." Sul is slightly surprised at his reply and thinks to herself: "But still...'anything' is not good enough. Anything... I am buying him something."

Bo Ra and Eun Taek wonder about where to go for summer vacation. Bo Ra decides on the port city Pusan, and Eun Taek tells her that they should eat as much seafood as they want. Bo Ra says that they should ask Hong, but Eun Taek claims that Sul will probably agree with their idea even if they don't ask her. Bo Ra tells Eun Taek: "I'd like it if Hong expressed her opinions a bit more openly! Anything~ Anything~ not like that. It sort of feels like I'm the only one who's excited for this~"

As Sul walks and looks at the clock, she realizes that it is time for the group members to start their messenger meeting. Nobody is online yet. She decides to wait for the moment. Time passes, and even at after ten, nobody is online. Sul cries out angrily: "Why isn't anybody coming in!!!!! Tomorrow's the presentation day!!!!!!"

Cheese in the Trap Chapter 46: Starting Point (2)
    Summary

Sul tries calling her group members, but nobody answers. She is extremely angry at the fact that she has to analyze all the data that she collected, without any help. She complains and comments on how she wants to just go to sleep, and how she should just give up. Just then, a call comes from a person called: "Joon". It is her younger brother. She asks him why he would call so late, and he goes: "Ah~ that's right, time zones! Sorry~"

(I'm just going to translate the dialogue here.)

    S: "Are you doing well?"
J: "I'm the same as always~ But noona, are you busy these days?"
S: "Why? I am busy because of assignments..."
J: "I called mom yesterday, and she said that not only did we move out, but that we both don't contact her often. She said something about how both us kids are the same and how sad she is."
    S: "What?"
J: "So call home sometimes, okay?"
S: "....... Hey! What about you?! Do you think you're in the position to lecture me about this?"
J: "But at least I called them yesterday, you know? Dad's business doesn't seem to be doing so well these days. Since I'm in America, I can't visit. So noona should take care of mom sometimes. Anyways, I entrust this to you, okay? Talk to mom tomorrow~ I'm hanging up!"
    S: "Uh? Hey! Hong...!"

Joon hangs up. Sul comments on how he didn't say anything wrong, but it still irritates her somewhat. She decides to stay awake, concluding that her grades can't drop anymore. She says that nothing good will come out of getting angry, and that she should focus on getting a good grade.

It's early in the morning, and Sul finally finishes the assignment. As she writes down the names of the group members, she comments on how tempting it is to just write only her name. As she types up the names, she remembers the professor talking about how the cooperation between group members was the most important aspect of this assignment. He said that all the members must participate in the assignment and that each member must present their respective parts. Sul concludes that the members wouldn't know anything about the presentation, and that she should make a script for them.

Sul leaves for school. When she arrives, Min Soo says that her younger sibling broke her computer and the repair man didn't come fast enough. The female sunbae claims that she was sick and had too much medicine that she couldn't stay awake. Min Soo keeps on apologizing, and the female sunbae apologizes as well, saying that she'll treat Sul later. As Sul is complaining about how tired she is, somebody comes up to Sang Chul and gives him a drink that people drink usually after a night of drinking. He says that he feels sick, and tells Sul that he'll pay better attention. Sul tells everybody to start memorizing their scripts. She then looks up at Jung's group. Jae Woo is looking over the presentation when Jung tells Jae Woo that he took out a few of the slideshows, since Jae Woo's part was too long. Jae Woo complains about how that part was important, and Jung apologizes, saying that the four members needs to have a somewhat equal amount of presentation time. The members talk about how Jae Woo has too many lines, but comment on how they did this project very well. Sul looks at this scene, and envies how everybody in the group participated. She comments on wondering how it would have been if she was in the same group as Jung.

In Ho pays back his neighbor the milk he took. The neighbor asks why In Ho has so much free time, and asks if he doesn't study at all - (PS. In Ho is living at a student hotel right now, a cheap hotel usually for college students or students retaking the college entrance exam). In Ho laughs and says that he never studied. He playfully punches his neighbor, commenting on how his neighbor should work out a bit and meet more people. The neighbor tells In Ho that there are many people who study like crazy, and that he shouldn't take this so lightly. The neighbor complains about how he has to study even after passing the exam, and how they all have to compete and study for the rest of their lives. In Ho comments on how there are ways to make money without studying. The neighbor tells In Ho about how that's all temporary, and asks In Ho if he isn't worried for his future. He asks In Ho if there's anything other than studying that he's especially good at. In Ho claims that girls always take care him, and how he got the milk from the girls from the company nearby the place he works at. The neighbor slams into In Ho.

The professor arrives and the groups begin their presentations. Group 4 (Jung's group) receives much praise. Sul's group is nervous at the fact that they're right after Jung. Sul tries to comfort herself that she organized everything well, so if the presentation goes well, they'll be able to get at least an 'A'. She tries to comfort herself by saying that Sang Chul's pretty good in urgent situations, and Da Young unni (the other female sunbae) is a good student.

Min Soo is up first. She is too nervous and makes way too many mistakes. The professor comments on how Min Soo seems to be reading off the printout, and doesn't seem to consider the listener at all. He asks: "Even though you may look at your printout now and then during the presentation, isn't memorizing the basic information of the presentation a must?" As Min Soo apologizes and says that she'll retry, the professor points out: "And now that I look at it, it seems like you don't even understand the information you are presenting about... Did you really research this yourself?" Min Soo nervously claims that she did research this herself. The professor then asks a question about the info presented. Min Soo cannot answer it properly. The professor asks: "Didn't you state that you researched this yourself?!" The classmates murmur about how obvious it is that Min Soo did not do the research. The professor then points out Sul, and asks a question. Sul answers it decently. The professor then asks Sang Chul and the female sunbae, and they cannot answer properly.

The professor states: "We are dealing with the business negotiation theory. This is not a simple assignment or an outside problem, but a problem that everybody here will face in the future. However, it seems that the students listening about the business negotiation theory cannot properly negotiate within themselves in the group." Sul panics, and comments on how they won't be able to get a B at this rate. She decides to later talk to the professor honestly about how she did the work herself. The professor continues: "I always keep my rules in my classes. But looking at group 5's report, and the presentation, I can tell that one person did the assignment all by oneself. Skimming over through it, to be honest, it's done quite well." Sul relaxes a bit, and sees that she might be able to get a B if she talks to the professor herself. The professor, however, continues: "But, although I'm sorry to the student who worked so hard all by oneself, I will do it the way I stated before. Rules are rules. I stated that I take group cooperation as the most important aspect, haven't I? Group 5 has none of that. Every member in group 5 will be getting a 'D', so please take note of that." As the students begin to murmur more, and Sul looks up with shock, the professor adds: "There will be no exceptions."
