Part 2 Chapter 55 Three-party Encounter
Sul is confused and asks Jung why he is here. He replies that he came to meet her because she wasn't at home and was late. She asks if there was some sort of problem, and he replies that he just wanted to see her quickly, to which Sul is embarassed and shocked by. In Ho yells that he refuses to sit "nicely" at a table with Jung. Jung then provokes In Ho by telling him, "Right, do you have time to be like this? Don't you have work to do? Did I say something wrong? I don't think this is the time for you to be hanging around." In Ho grabs Jung and mutters: "Do you know because of who I'm in this state...?!!"
Sul panicks and stops the two from fightning, and In Ho lets go. Jung continues to provoke him by saying, "I was planning to take a hit from you. I wondered if I should get some money from you as you always do. Why are you surprised? You always do it. Don't be so surprised suddenly." When In Ho stammers, Jung adds on, "Wasn't it your specialty to approach people with money, or people who look easy and get money from them? To you and your sister, that was your goals. To me - and now it's Sul's turn?" When In Ho is at a loss for words, Sul realizes that what Jung said was technically true. They continue to bicker, and Sul is confused by this atmosphere. In Ho ultimately decides to taunt Jung by staying. They all decide to have drinks, and In Ho hands Sul a glass of alcohol.
In Ho and Jung continue to taunt each other about the gift Jung's father sent and In Ho's sister. Sul is extremely bothered by this situation, and mutters that this must be what one feels when one is caught cheating (even though that's not the case for her). When Jung smiles, she realizes that he must be really angry, knowing that Jung's smiles aren't really 'true' smiles. She is now able to distinguish between Jung's fake smiles and real ones. She then wonders about In Ho's sister who continuously appears in conversations. All she knows is that In Ho's sister knows Jung's father, went to high school with Jung, and is very pretty. Sul gives a little scoff.
Jung then turns his attention to Sul, saying that he continuously waited for Sul to contact him. She tells him that he shouldn't have waited, and should've taken some initiative himself, but Jung rebutts that Sul told him to not contact her. He points out that, however, Sul has not been following Jung's warnings. Sul laughs, saying that she owes a lot to In Ho, and needs to repay him, mentioning how Young Gon was at the tutoring place recently. Jung is surprised, asking why she didn't tell her. She says that she was planning to, but the truth about the report event was revealed and she didn't know when to tell him. Their conversation comes to a standstill.
Sul tries to initiate conversation by saying, "Well, I got a lot of help from Mister Baek... I mean... this person." In Ho is angry that she would call him 'this person.' She changes her words to call him, "Mister Baek In Ho as usual," but now Jung is shocked at how casually they call each other. Sul is frustrated, saying that what else she would call him, and then In Ho bursts, saying that Sul and Jung aren't like a couple at all, and should just break up. "Your conversations are more like a debate than anything?! Why so complicated?! When are you going to have a nice, pretty relationshipp? Huh?! You guys should be greeting each other happily. Tsk tsk, just break up, just do it!"
As In Ho refills Jung's glass, he comments on how Jung never used to care whether a girl contacted him or not. He then brings up: "You had more than just 'one or two' girlfriends when you were in school. But on top of that, you were so cold that they all cried, you know? When you were bored, you would switch girlfriends up and~ after break, you'd have a new girl~" Jung panicks at In Ho's comments, and Sul is a bit taken back. Jung is angered, saying that In Ho is exaggerating things, but In Ho laughs, "It's because I pity her~ If you want to date a guy like Jung, you should know a lot, right? And I told you this when I first saw you, but... You couldn't be 'just' pretty, huh~? It wasn't normal, not normal."
During the fight, Sul weakily mentions, "Th..then. So sunbae... With Mister Baek In Ho's sister as well...." In Ho and Jung both scream: "NO!!" and continuously rejects the notion.
In Ho comes back to the topic after the panic, and tells Sul that he's just trying to tell her how to date a guy like Jung, especially since Sul looks like the type that wouldn't have dated. Sul yells, "I had a boyfriend during high school as well, okay?! He was super kind, and everybody was envious of us!" She then looks over to Jung, and he laughs weakily. In Ho bursts out laughing, and Sul dully notes to herself that they were really never serious, however. Jung and In Ho continues to talk, and Jung tells him, "Were you dying to act like this? Is that why you inconsiderately stayed on purpose?"
In Ho replies, "No. It's because I saw what I never wanted to see because I inconsiderately stayed...." Jung responds: "Ah, until the very end, you're claiming that you never did anything wrong." He retorts, "Then what is it that I did wrong?" Jung calmly tells him, "Yeah. I didn't expect anything from you at all. That's why I didn't even respond when you were making trouble all this time. Because you're just like that."
As the two fight, Sul continues to drink. They continue to verbally fight (in a rather immature way, arguing who'd be stronger or smarter). Sul bursts, yelling, "SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!" They look at her, shocked. Sul yells to Jung, "SO NOISY! SO NOISY! SO NOISY! YOU TWO! You two are super annoying!!! Are you guys in elementary school? Are you showing off how strong you are?! Immature, really. .... You know, I never really liked any of you from before, okay?? Did you guys give me something? Why are you two so shameless when it comes to me?! One guy gets pissed at anything and does strange acts! One guy keeps asking me for meals at the end of every sentence. Am I food or something?! You!! I can buy someone a meal if there's a reason to. Why do you pop out suddenly and boss me around with this? And why do you always pop out at random places? Are you a ghost? Are you going to take responsibility if I die of heart attack?! AND YOU! Why do you ignore me always? What is it about me that makes me so horrible?! Dog fur, dog fur. Who's dog fur, you idiot! THIS IS NATURALLY CURLY HAIR!!! It's just naturally curly thick hair!! Follow me!! (In Ho actually follows her, saying 'naturally curly hair') What... What am I supposed to do~? What exactly happened between you two~?! You think I won't be curious if I stay silent? I don't know what to do between you two that my head's gonna explode, seriously!!"
When she calsm down, Jung ask what Sul is so curious about. She mnetions once again Jung and In Ho's sister, and the two once again yells that it's not true.
Sul then hiccups, and mutters, "Ah... I drank too muc..." She passes out, and the two are stunned.
