Part 2 Chapter 44 - Uneasiness (1)
After AP Huh wakes up, he is greeted by Sul and the other female APs. When one hugs him, he groans in pain. His head aches, and the APs explain that he bled a lot, but thankfully, the wound isn't too bad. He'll just need to stay for a couple more days just in case. Just then the detective enters the room. The detective speaks to AP Huh alone. As the female APs talk about how they need to fine the "bad guy" who did this to AP Huh, Sul thinks about how she has seen these police related affairs only on TV. She wonders if she'll ever have such an eventful summer break ever again.
In the room, the detective asks if anything was stolen from AP Huh. He realizes that his keys have been stolen. He looks worried, and mentions that those keys were his friend's.
Sul wonders outside that AP Huh, Joo Yong, and In Ho are all involved in some police incidents. She doesn't know who to turn her attention to, because everything is so hectic right now.
In the room, AP Huh mentions that Joo Yong is his friend. The detective asks if Joo Yong has done anything to have a grudge on AP Huh recently.
Outside, Sul calls Jung, telling him that Joo Yong has been arrested. She explains that a bunch of female underwear was found at Joo Yong's place. Jung tells her that her neighborhood is really dangerous and asks if she's okay. She replies that she is, but asks what will happen to Joo Yong. Jung responds: "There's not much we can do if they found the underwear at the scene. If hyung's really not the criminal, then it should be resolved soon. Don't worry." Sul answers that she understands, but that the people in the neighborhood have been making some disadvantagous testimonies about Joo Yong. Jung continues: "Sul. Nothing will be solved even if we talk about this. Let's wait to see what happens." Sul is a bit confused. She thought that Jung would care more, since they were apparently friends ever since they were little. As she wonders if she's being too emotional, Jung advisers her to move out as soon as possible. Sul then responds that AP Huh was the victim that got hit in front of Sul's place. She adds on that he's not severely injured, and Jung responds that it's a relief that he's not too hurt. Just then, AP Huh runs out of his room. The female APs chase him down and they tell Sul to run after him. She hangs up on Jung.
At home, Jung's father asks if Jung was calling his girlfriend. Jung merely laughs and Jung's father replies: "Oh? Look at you, hm?" He asks if she's pretty and Jung grins. Jung's father murmurs, "Of course, my son..." He then asks Jung if he passed along the present for In Ho. Jung confesses that he sent the present by mail. Jung's father tells him: "I really wish that you and In Ho could be like what you two were in the old days. You two were really close back then. How did it come to this..." Jung replies that as people live their lives, they naturally happen to get distant from each other. Jung replies that he shouldn't worry, since they aren't that awkward with each other. Jung's father merely answers, "Alright." Jung then leaves the house.
Jung's father then remembers what happened long ago. (flashback) At the party, Jung and his mother heads home first, as Jung is feeling ill. Just then, Jung's father encounters "Professor Baek." When Jung's father suggests they go upstairs to talk, Professor Baek tells him that it's about Jung. He confesses tha the saw what happened at the party earlier. He encountered Jung and the little girl. Jung brought a glass of alcohol accidently, and the girl asked if they could try it out. Jung replied that they would get in trouble, but the girl insisted they try. They try it, and it tasted like "juice" apparently. Professor Baek didn't think much of this as he watched it, since they are just little kids that are curious. Then Jung mentions to the girl that her doll is pretty and the girl offers to share the doll with Jung. Just then, the girl rips the doll in half, and then falls asleep. Then the child Jung mutters: "Now that I look at it... I don't really want it."
Professor Baek tells Jung's father all that he saw and comments that Jung acts just like Jung's father when he was little. Jung's father thanks Professor Baek for leading him the right path, but comments that Professor might be overthinking this. Jung is still little, and little children are curious and sometimes a bit cruel. Professor Baek agrees, but mentions that it seemed a bit extreme in Jung's case. Jung's father replies that he was never very patient, unlike Jung, who is very patient and calm. Professor Baek replies: "That's why it's even more frightening. You don't know what he's thinking." As he remembers what happened at the party, Professor Baek continues, "At that young age, he tricked the adults without any qualms. It looks like he actually manipulated and used them. Not using his own hands, but still paying back what he suffered - isn't that a bit scary? Ah, of course, we can't make a hasty conclusion based on one observation. But we don't know what may happen, so it's important to look over him. If you allow me to look over him once more..."
Jung's father apologizes and answers that he thinks Professor Baek might be thinking too deeply into this. Professor Baek admits that it may be because of his job. He then replies that he needs to do something about his grandchildren first. Apparently they have no parents and it's been a pain for Professor Baek to take care of them.
Professor Baek leaves, and Jung's father also leaves, thinking that the professor is over-reacting.
Later, Professor Baek passes away. Jung's father calls someone about how it has already been a year* and mentions that he will be heading over to the graveyard in the near future. Professor's Baek's grandchildren have been placed at their aunt's house. Just then, Jung arrives at home with his friends. Jung's father asks if they're all here to play now that the break is ending, but they reply that they're here to do summer homework.

*Jung's father says that "It's been a year" but I'm not sure what he's referring to. It may be that it's been a year since he has met the certain someone on the phone, or that it's been a year since Professor Baek passed away.
Professor Baek. The Sherlock Holmes of Cheese in the Trap.
