I just realised that there was no topic on fanfiction and I figured I should make one.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who reads fanfics right? RIGHT? RIGHT GUYS?!?
Anyways, I've decided to try my hand at writing one, just because I had this random idea, but what I really want to know is:

1. would you rather read a long fanfic or a short fanfic?
2. what type of female protagonist you hate and like?
3. what genre do you like best?
4. your pet peeve in fanfics?

But, just rant and rave as much as you want because it's interesting to see peoples opinions.

Hello. This is really interesting. I do read few fanfictions but not many.

My answers:

1. The lenght of a fanfic doesn't really matter, as long the story is good.

2.I don't have any special type of female protagonist who I hate. But I like those strong girls who are also funny.

3. I like comedy and yaoi (oh well i said it ;D)

4. ehm .. I can't think of something right now ;D

I tend to read long fanfics over short ones.

2. what type of female protagonist you hate and like?
I don't like protagonists who only cry and depend on others. It's fine if they cry for a short while from shock, but if it drags too long it gets annoying.

3. what genre do you like best?
romance~~

4. your pet peeve in fanfics?
When they don't use proper english and wRiTe LikE DiSh. When there are TONS of grammar errors and it seems like they wrote it when they were drunk.

I tend to prefer oneshots. But then again, I'll read long ones if I have the time at that moment and if it's really good. But then again, some oneshots are really long. I guess it all depends on the quality.

2. what type of female protagonist you hate and like?
Ugh, please don't give me the whiny types that get no character development at all. If they develop as a character, then yes, I will accept the crying and the whiny-ness at the start. But character development is a biggie for me. I really love good character development.

3. what genre do you like best?
I'll read anything. Even crack. As long as it's not mpreg, because that's when things get really, really weird.

4. your pet peeve in fanfics?
OCC.... If you're going to make the character totally different from what they're original like, then might as well make your own story. Why make it fanfiction.... I read fanfiction because I like how some authors really take the time to explore character dynamics and interactions in ways that would NEVER happen in the original works. So if the characters are 100% different from what the original works are, I see no point in them...

1. I like long ones because then stuff can be explained in detail and there's more to it.
2. I don't really hate any other than Mary-sues. But I will tell you I like tough and/or stubborn female roles with a sense of humour
3. All of them. If it's good, I'll read it.
4. Spelling errors, grammar errors, OOC and extremely short chapters. I'm a fussy woman!
