Part 2 Chapter 43 - Encounter (3)
After the accusation, Joo Yong screams that he never peeked on purpose, and that she was the one who changed with the window open. Sul realizes that Joo Yong is digging his own grave. The detective tells Joo Yong that because of all the crime going around the neighborhood, he must ask what Joo Yong was doing last night. Joo Yong is enraged that he is being suspected. But he confesses that he had a drink with Sul, even if he doesn' remember much of it. Sul testifies that he is correct, and that she dropped him off at his place with her boyfriend's help. As the detective confirms that the three were together, the ladies in the neighborhood gossip about how they knew Joo Yong was a pervert. Joo Yong yells that they have no proof of anything. The detective asks if he can look around Joo Yong's place. He claims that if Joo Yong is really innocent, there should be nothing bad and that this would be the time to prove it. Joo Yong yells: "Ah, fine. Go search around!!! Go look everywhere!!! If nothing comes out then...!!!! I'm sueing all you ladies!!! And you! I'm sueing your for accusing me as well!"
But at Joo Yong's place, a bunch of women's undergarments are found. As Joo Yong denies everything, Sul flinches. The detective sees this and asks if Sul's undergarments are in the bunch as well. Sul hesitates, but as the detective urges her that she should be definite on these matters, she admits that her undergarment is in the bunch. Joo Yong claims that nothing was there just yesterday, and that someone else must have left them in his room while he was knocked out. Sul supports him, saying that the door was open when Jung, Sul, and Joo Yong arrived at Joo Yong's home. She hands over his keys, and Joo Yong asks why she has them. She explains that she and Jung locked the door up for him last night. At Joo Yong's expression, Sul wonders if Joo Yong is suspecting her. She is rather irritated, thinking that she should be the one suspecting Joo Yong.
The detective then proceeds to take pictures of the garments as evidence. Joo Yong tries to argue, but the detective claims that Joo Yong gave him permission to enter. Joo Yong, in a burst of anger, cries: "Why would I steal women's underwear? I'm not interested in that sort of stuff!! I'm...!!" He stops midway. The detective asks Joo Yong to come with him to the police station. Despite defying at first, Joo Yong decides to follow along, just to prove his innocence.
Just then, Sul gets a call from AP Huh. He asks her to come to the hospital.
At the hospital, In Ho is being questioned by a detective. In Ho was the one to find the victim first, and has no real connections to the victim. When the officer asks why In Ho was at the scene of the crime, he replies that it was because he witnessed someone taking a brick. The officer asks why In Ho decided to head over to that specific location. In Ho confesses that it was because a girl he knows lives in the area. The officer asks if she's his girlfriend, and he denies it. When the officer asks if she is a friend, In Ho ends up admitting that she is. He then asks In Ho's nationality, doubting that In Ho's Korean. He asks about In Ho's family and In Ho admits at the officers questions that he has a sister, but no parents. The officer writes down: "Orphan." The officer then asks for his job. In Ho says: "Instructor at an English tutoring center." At the officer's "English instructor?", In Ho yells that Koreans can teach English as well. When the officer replies that he never doubted In Ho and asks In Ho is he's good at English, In Ho replies tha the's only really an assistant. The officer writes down: "Various small work."
As the officer makes a phone call, In Ho realizes that the officer is suspicious of him, and he really isn't surprised, since he'd be suspicious as well. But he realizes that there's not much he can say.
At the hospital, Sul arrives. She wonders if AP Huh was the victim of the crime and wonders what he was doing in front of her home. She then notices In Ho and he notices her. He yells: "Dog fur!!" He urges her to come over and tells the officer that Sul's the one who lived in the neighborhood. She ends up testifying for him and the officer leaves.
In Ho mutters: "All suspicious even when I do something good..." Sul asks if he's okay. He replies that he's not the one who got hurt. She explains that the victim is one of her assistant professors. She then asks why In Ho was at her home late at night, and he yells: "Oh my god, I'm soooo tired. My body's all cramped up!!" He then confesses that he thought the criminal was "the loser" who harassed Sul last time. He thought Young Gon was going to hit Sul with the brick, and that's why he came over to her place. As he leaves in embarassment, Sul yells: "Thank you!!" He tells her buy him a meal instead.
In the hospital room, AP Huh opens his eyes.
