Cheese in the Trap Part 2 Chapter 46 - Anger (1)
Joo Yong is talking to the detective at the polic station. He has a definite alibi, but there's no way to refute the evidence. Joo Yong claims that he didn't do it. The detective then asks why someone with a family as prominent as Joo Yong's is doing here. Joo Yong tries to ask the detective not to contact his family, but the detective continues to question him about the past few evenings. As Joo Yong answers, a different detective comments that Joo Yong uses manicure. Joo Yong then yells that it's his choice what he does, adding on: "I'm not a pervert! I don't steal women's undergarments! Why would I steal?! On top of that I..! Women are - " He then stops midway. The detective then asks if Joo Yong knows a man called "Huh Yoon Seop." Joo Yong immediately responds and the detective asks about their relationship. Apparently Yoon Seop was the one who was recently assaulted in front of Joo Yong's home and he is now hospitalized. As the detective tries to ask Joo Yong for more details, he runs out the door. The detective tells him that it might be troublesome for him if he does not cooperate with the investigation, especially when there's such strong evidence against him. Joo Yong yells: "If you want to force me to stay... Go get a proper warrant issued first! I'm leaving now!" On his way out, Joo Yong confronts Yoon Seop.
Yoon Seop refuses to talk to Joo Yong, and they sit on separate seats in the bus. Joo Yong feels extremely bad as he sees Yoon Seop's injury from the back. He cries on the way home, and Yoon Seop is annoyed, but is unable to say anything.
Sul arrives home, wondering what happened to AP Huh exactly. She then hears arguments coming from next door. As she tries to check in on Joo Yong, she hears someone screams: "What?! Female undergarments?! Are you kidding me?!!" She recognizes the voice, and stops. Yoon Seop asks: "What have you been doing? How could it come to this? And from what I hear, the entire neighborhood thinks it's your fault as well? You don't study, you won't pick up my calls... and this happens during all that?" As Joo Yong tries to stop Yoon Seop from yelling by telling him that all the blood will flow to his head (I think he' strying to half-joke it off?) but Yoon Seop yells: "That's all you got to say?! How much more do I have to suffer from going out with you?! I'm tired and hurt, and I'm just worn out! A couple that has been married for too long would be better than this!!* No house, no money, no time, no life... And on top of all that, getting assaulted! But you're still acting like it doesn't matter if we broke up?" Sul is frozen as she hears this conversation. Yoon Seop continues "I can't stand it anymore! I've suffered so much humiliation being together with you. I've been hit by your parents. I've been spat at by a random attacker. And I even stole for you, but got caught! Yoo Jung... I really apologized.. and ever since then, I've always regretted my actions and I've been scared.... Because of that brat Yoo Jung threatening me!! I became a retard that lost a student's report!"
When Sul hears this she is shocked, and wonders if she heard it wrong. Yoon Seop then barges out the door and sees Sul. Sul tries to explain that she merely thought Joo Yong was back home from the police station. She tries to apologize, but Yoon Seop is extremely angry. He asks if it's fun for Sul and Jung to both play around with his weaknesses one by one. He says it must be nice for Sul, attending school for free because of such a "talented" boyfriend. Sul is confused, and Yoon Seop replies: "Don't act like you don't know, huh? You got that job because of Yoo Jung. And the scholarship... If you two are dating, just date - why bring me into this..." Sul is sincerely confused, and Yoon Seop asks: "What? You really don't know? Your boyfriend asked me to throw away his report so you can get the scholarship, you know?" Sul is very shocked and Yoon Seop is also surprised that Sul didn't know about this. He realizes what he just said.
Jung picks up a call from Sul. She explains that she's back home and he asks if they should go watch a movie. But she asks if they can meet up nearby her place.
*There's no real English equivalent for this phrase, but there's a Korean phrase for a married couple that longer has the spark of their early dating phase.
